Small place, big flavor! Nice photographs on the wall, friendly staff, fantastic options on the menu. Love the hand-pulled noodles, the spicy meat and fish options, the unusual items not found elsewhere on the UWS (Wulong Steam Pork with Sticky Rice, Overlord Spicy Lamb Chops!). Eater calls this little place of the "38 Essential Chinese Restaurants of NYC" and I agree!
As a Chinese person who grew up with traditional Chinese home cooking, I was pleasantly surprised with this place and how good, authentic and affordable it is, especially for the UWS and this specific neighborhood. They offer a huge variety of genuine Chinese dishes and THEY ARE ALL GREAT. I'm a big fan of supporting small businesses and great food, and highly recommend this restaurant for really legit, great Chinese food.They are also very clean and sanitary during Covid!
An unassuming restaurant at the upper end of the UWS, where the food speaks for itself. Like the decor, the food is nothing fancy, but the flavor profile is spot on. My favorite was the seafood hotpot with fresh morsuls and soup that was seasoned and spiced perfectly. The cauliflower was also tasty and satisfied. None of the food was overseasoned or oversalted as seems all too common at many other restaurants. Fast service, great prices, good portions.
