Erie Shore Cafe & Catering Reviews
I do recommend however not today.
I had asked/ordered under the DYI for all the veggies on a sandwich, my sister ordered a sandwich with dressing on the side. We told them it was for “here”.
We got the food brought to us in a bag to go. My sister asked for the dressing on the side.
I did not get a veggie sandwich I got a panini with feta cheese, tomato, spinach and onion with a pesto sauce.

Sweet little cafe! Good food. Good coffee! Comfortable atmosphere. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I am a regular at Erie Shore and always enjoy their fresh healthy food options and not secretly in looove with their baked goods!

Erie Shore Cafe & Catering is a restaurant located on the canal in Newark, with a beautiful park and sitting area across a one way street offering a lovely view of the canal. The place is bright and friendly inside, with a bakery that has quiche and awesome looking breads and baked goods. Six types of coffee are available. A chocolate-filled croissant dotted with tiny chocolate chips was described as "The Best chocolate-filled croissant" ever had, with fresh golden pastry and soft milk chocolate inside. The croissants are highly recommended, and the cookies are nice, not too sweet. A very generous breakfast for only 7 bucks, coffee included, is offered. Profits supposedly go towards helping the local disabled community. Service is exemplary, and the place is clean, including the outdoor seating area. The ambiance provided by the waterfront makes the whole experience complete. However, one visit was a big disappointment due to an order mix-up, resulting in a wasted meal and a 26.00 loss. Another visitor was disappointed by the lack of non dairy offerings, as the Dole Whip machine was down. Overall, the food is good, and it is considered the best place in Newark.
