“This is a family-run place where the owner personally oversees everything to ensure top-notch food and friendly service. The menu has a great assortment of Polish-Ukrainian classics, served in a warm and cozy space. We are here when it just opened and came back now with friends, trying more dishes. Everything is homemade and so delicious. No one rushes you, we spent 2 hours, leisurely working our way through the gamut of dishes we ordered and having a conversation. What a gem!“

“The staff was super friendly. Made the reservation on Mother’s Day with google assistant and they didn’t have it but cleaned off a table and sat me as if they had. Def recommend the mixed grill. A nice portion of everything and it was outstanding. Also the red sangria is out of this world. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you!“

“One of the friendliest places I have been too. I am a vegetarian and they took time to explain what was vegetarian. The service is surpassed only by the food. I surely recommend to try the place once. The soup is something I loved the most. The Schechuan dumplings were excellent too among other items.Vegetarian options: See my comments. “I would given it a 5 star if my son and I didn't felt rushed to order and leave. We were excited to eat here because it's our 1st time but our server was kinda rushing us to order and leave. I'm sure she didn't mean it that way. As soon we sat down and gave us the menu, she asked what we wanted for appetizers, I had to tell her to give us a few minutes to decide because we didn't even get to open the menu yet. My son asked for a container to bring home his left over. Server came with the container and the bill not even asking if we wanted anything else. My son had to ask for the dessert menu even after handing us the bill. Overall, everything was good except for the rushed experience.“

“Well, I’ve only had 2 pies from them so far, but I’m pretty sure I’ve found my new favorite Pizzaria. I don’t know how to explain the taste of their pie/dough/crust, but when I take a bite my brain goes “THIS is what a pizza should taste like!” It’s just the perfect classic pizza taste. Cooked to perfection. I just reheated a slice in my toaster over (and I probably overcooked it a bit) but since it was cooked perfectly by them (not burnt like so many pies I’ve gotten from other places) it was still great - perfect crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside crust (instead of char and air).“

The only downside (very slight) would be the Mac and Cheese - not bad but not great. It was the only hiccup during the whole meal. Service was quite friendly and efficient; the seating area was clean and comfortable. “I recently dined at Madeira Sports Café with a friend on a quiet Tuesday night. The dual ambiance of a bar and dining area created a welcoming atmosphere. Our meal started with delicious beef pastries as an appetizer. For the main course, my friend enjoyed the pasta a la vodka, while I opted for the grilled shrimp with rice and vegetables. We paired our meals with a glass of Portuguese red and white wine.The attentive service by Mauricio, our waiter, truly stood out. When I praised the white wine without knowing its name, Mauricio went the extra mile, bringing an empty bottle for us to photograph. He also thoughtfully changed the TV channel from loud soccer to horse riding, enhancing our dining experience. Mauricio’s timely and polite check-ins added to the overall positive impression.The food itself was exceptional, and we chose to forgo dessert. With Mauricio’s attentive service and the delectable dishes, I confidently give Madeira Sports Café a perfect 5 out of 5 rating. “Food was really good. Will definitely be going back. It was a little dingy on the inside for Syosset standards. the staff was very nice and friendly. I even had ordered fried tofu to my online order and when I showed up they wanted to charge me an up charge. when I told them I didn’t have any cash they allowed me to get the tofu anyway.“

“Ordered for pickup through DoorDash today on my lunch break. Got the Sicilian Jr. and some garlic knots. Based on the name price of the pizza I was expecting to get a personal sized portion. Was pleasantly surprised to see that it was 6 large slices of Sicilian! Everything was ready on time and was absolutely delish! Sub $20 for all the food I got too. Plenty of leftovers (or enough to share with friends in the future). Will definitely be coming back!“
