“I have been here several times since the season has opened. More importantly, I went there tonight (5/2) and was served by Peyton and Lindsay. They both were exceptional, despite the amount of orders that all came in at once, around 7:15pm. The orders were for multiple items and multiple orders stacked up. The service I was provided by both workers was exceptional and I was really appreciative of their customer service. I will definitely be back. Thanks guys.“

The buffet had a huge variety of foods and was constantly being replenished. The staff were all extremely friendly. “I may be biased after coming to this place for the last 30 something years, but there is a special vibe at The Pub that will always feel like home when you walk in. Between the original juke box loaded with the best of my memories from the 90's, to the pool table and the well poured drinks, I will forever recommend a down and dirty pop in to Essex St. Pub. And there's purse hooks under the bar! Who doesn't love a good hook to hang your bag on while you're bellied up to the bar?“

“Got the soy garlic chicken and wasn't disappointed. Very garlic forward which I appreciate. Also got the sweet potato fries that were pretty good, but they're packaged in an aluminum lined bag for to-go orders so they ended up a bit soggy, the normal fries didn't have that issue though! The woman behind the counter was so nice when I went to pick up too, definitely a restaurant worth supporting.“

“Great food all around. Steaks cooked to perfection, including ribeye, which is hard to get right due to the fat. Baked potatoes delicious and salads were fresh with no dead lettuce at all. Ceasar was not all romaine cores like some places. Service was really good, funny and polite server. Also highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms and lobster chowder.“

“Our family ate dinner together on our first visit and we got to experience the karaoke room along with our meal. It was so, so fun!!! We had three small children and they loved making the hot pot and the karaoke singing. The room is large and comfortable for a large party and the staff is so kind and helpful! I would highly recommend to others and we will be back.“
