“Family owned family restaurant. My #13 combo was very good with an upgraded El Pastor taco. I enjoyed my Tamale and cheese chili relleno as well. Margaritas are served by size and flavor, but no Cadillacs. My dinner was served quickly and the service was attentive! I will return. Just as I was about to leave, they did break out the vacuum cleaner while the restaurant was at least half full.“
“We ordered takeout today and the food was delicious. There was only 2 issues. I ordered 2 extra flour tortillas which I didn’t receive. No salsa for our chips. I totally understand forgetting both. Today is Cinco De Mayo and my son that picked up the food said they were so busy people were packed out into the parking lot. Other than those two things I would totally recommend this place. “I was very surprised to see the ratings for this place! This was honestly the best pollo con crema I have ever had. Sometimes with Mexican restaurants it will just be quest and chicken. But this was so flavorful with a bunch of other stuff added. The drinks were good too, definitely a little pricey. Our server was the best ever! And not only did he save the day, but he did it with such a level of prowess & flare that even the taco gods would bow down in his honor. We were visiting Buffalo for the UWBHF games and Matty gave us a literal list of places we need to visit while we were there. I think we made it to about half the places he listed but they were all great. And his margaritas and palomas were't too shabby either. “So I just moved into a new apartment in the falls a few weeks ago and didn't have any groceries or cooking utensils at the time and was STARVING and craving barria. I don't have a vehicle at the moment and have a 6 month old daughter so I couldn't easily walk anywhere close without having to drag her out in the chilly weather with me and I didnt really want to do that to her but I was soo hungry so my last resort was delivery and i had just gotten a digital coupon in my email.. I hesitantly opened my DoorDash app, I try not to use it much because after all the taxes and fees and boosting restaurant food prices and tip, I always find myself spending $50-$80 for something that would have cost me ~ $20-$25 if I had gone myself. And EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I had been missing items that I had ordered and paid for when my food was delivered, when using both DoorDash and Uber Eats. It's like if they use more than one bag for your food, the delivery person only grabs one and both apps are not helpful with refunding missing items. Ever. Anyway, I had heard great things about this place from the servers at the restaurant that I work at, but had never gotten the chance to try it so I figured that I would. Some places put ribs, or pork in their Barria, but I wasn't sure if they did or not so I had wrote in the instruction box that if it was in the barria meat, if they could substitute it with some sort of beef or steak since I saw all their many different meat options for tacos and burritos. “This branch of Chick Mex is located inside my college SUNY University at Buffalo's campus, in the UB Commons area alongside other good restaurants, clothing, accessories shops etc. Went here for the first time to get some dinner last weekend one night, two staff serving in the shop during that time were very polite, attentive, welcoming, and very friendly. Got a 'halal chicken over rice, which I would recommend with either any other protein as I would chicken. The staff did not mind adding more than one sauce on it when I asked them to. Also got a monster burrito, and both of them tasted so good and fresh. There were tables and chairs when I got to the shop several minutes before 9pm, so no customers were there, but I can guarantee the service and atmosphere in general would be very friendly, welcoming, comforting and relaxingly.“

The plate had a great presentation, and taste did not disappoint. It came out before we even ordered our main meal. My wife & I both got the 3 tacos for &18. They looked fantastic and tasted just as great. My only complaint is that the music overall was just a little loud, and the time for the tacos took a little longer than I had hoped, but overall, we had a great experience with excellent food and friendly service.
