“Great Service and Great Food!!!Ordered catering for a family party. We ordered sausage and peppers and chicken parm that everyone enjoyed and took leftovers to go..They also were able to accomadate our picky eaters with blending all the chunks together in the penne vodka!! We also ordered some amazing italian combo and chicken cutlet special sandwhiches! Everyone at the party complimented the food and asked where it was from, will definitely be ordering from Sauros again!“

“We have ordered here a few times for work events and it is always amazing. Walking in, you get a feel of a Bronx deli. There are a few tables inside or you can take it to go. This time I got a Chicken Parm Wedge. I’m pretty sure they get the bread from the Bronx because it doesn’t taste like the typical Connecticut bread. Really delicious sauce and chicken. Will continue to return here and suggest you stop in if you haven’t. Five stars!“

“If you're going to get a flat tire, I strongly recommend that you get one on NY-22, right in front of this deli, as I did. The staff are lovely (a man and his mother) and speak Italian to one another. They make their own mozzarella, soup, and at least some pastries, if not all. Cannoli are filled to order and excellent. Another pastry (crostata?), cut into squares with a shortbread-like crust, cherry jam and chocolate was even more spectacular and something that I *must* come back for. The man told me it was homemade. The sfogliatelle pastry was a little tough and stale, but the thick, ricotta-rich filling was delicious. To be fair, these things have a very short shelf life. I gave it a few minutes in the toaster oven when I finally made it home and the texture was far improved. The son patiently answered my questions [e.g. how to properly pronounce "sfogliatelle," how much the fresh mozzarella costs (about $11 / lb)] and the mother kindly warmed up some pasta e fagioli for me. Sandwiches seem to be the focus here -- the menu is vast! -- but I sorely needed the warm-you-from-the-inside-out comfort of soup at that moment. The rich broth full of red beans, potatoes, and carrots absolutely hit the spot. It's too bad that it took a flat tire to get me in this place. We've been driving by for years and have clearly been missing out all this time!“

His staff is equally amazing, they dote on the customers as if they also family, Kiersten and Courtney really serve it up! Do not pass this one up, start with the steak margherita and work your way through the menu, you will NOT be disappointed.“

“They catered a family reunion for 50 people. Delicious food, generous quantity and fair price. Chef Rosa was easy to work with and we developed a crowd-pleasing menu together. “Absolutely fantastic food. They give you a heaping serving of rice and beans and a meat of your choice for just a little over eight dollars for the small. And that’s for the small!!!!! I got brown rice and peas, black beans, and half of a roasted chicken. I have to come earlier in the day to try the fried fish, it looks SO good. service is incredibly friendly and multi-lingual. Great assortments of imported goods with unbeatable prices! I can’t wait to come back to get some fresh meat from the butcher as well. The only critique I have is of the musse de maracujá because it tasted like cheese. “Totally shocked! I usually go to Brucci deli. It was closed and I stopped here for a hot chicken cutlet sandwich and this one is OUTSTANDING and FAST. There was other hot prepared food that looked delicious. The outside appearance of this place does not match the food quality!! If there was a better sign and some curb appeal, this place would be very busy. This is a hidden gem. Please consider gluten free, organic options, and high quality coffee and teas (love the local Harney & Sons tea). I will be back!“

“Food was good. Service was quick the location is nice but it's a little small. I only had typical El Salvadorian pupusas. They were very good. I would go back for those again but seems like a lot of people came for the soups. Which I didn't try. It gets busy but mostly take out. I would order the Spanish food since everyone there is Spanish. I don't think the Italian side of the kitchen will be as good as the el Salvadorian one since there is not Italians cooking it.“
