“The coffee and treats..
Regular spot for me. I love their iced coffee, whether it’s winter or summer that’s the go-to drink. Their gluten-free lemon blueberry loaf is SUPERB. And so are their fig power energy balls. They have a delicious raspberry iced tea during warmer days, try it!

The service..
The guy behind the counter is very nice and cool. Always great conversations and service.

The place..
It’s a small spot but it’s nice. Bathroom is always clean. Bench outside, thumbs up.

Parking..
Have to pay for it but that has nothing to do with them. Just thought I’d put it out there.

“This is a pleasant addition to town, and obviously quite popular. I only gave 2 stars for food because despite having a collection of 3 nondairy milks (75 cent upcharge not appreciated!) there is not a single food item a vegan or person with dairy issues can eat. Also, the only place you can sit and work on a device is the big table, which is usually full. Every other sitting area has tables that are the same height or lower than the chairs/stools so really not back friendly. Service is good and nice minimalist vibe-- will be back!

Response to owner: Regarding vegan pastries, if they are indeed vegan (dairy, egg, butter honey free) then why not label them as such or at least put up a little sign that says ask us about our vegan options?“

“Went for the first time yesterday to do homework and I was pleasantly surprised! The turmeric latte was exactly what I wanted on a chilly morning and the eggo sando on a croissant was delicious ? there’s lot of cute seating areas inside and out, and the decor is super cute. I also tried the matcha cucumber and loved it so much I went back today to get another and pick up some croissants. Yesterday they were pretty busy and the person working, Carlos (who was alone at the time) had really great customer service and my drink and food came out so quick every time. Today, way more busy and more people working and still my drink came out really quick! Been telling my friends and family about this place!“

“I dont usually leave reviews, but Haus is an EASY exception. In short, from the atmosphere to some of the most incredible and kind hearted staff you’ll meet to one of the best coffees you’ll ever have, this place truly feels like a home. Every time I go, whether it’s at the Fairlawn or Ridgewood location, the staff never fails to make me smile and their coffee is really to die for. I’m a coffee fanatic and have tried countless places in the Bergen County area, Boston (where I live/go to school), and across the Bay Area/NorCal (where I was born and raised) and when I say Haus is one of my favorite coffee shops ever, you have to believe how insanely good it is. You really cannot go wrong with any single coffee you get (though I do personally LOVE the love affair and the matcha). They’re also very considerate about any coffee accommodations and/or specific modifications you might want. I could go on and on, but there are very few places I would recommend this highly. “I am a local from New Jersey now living in Germany, came back to visit and was in the mood for a Poke Bowl. I have to say I have been to many poke places and this is THE BEST ONE. Everything tastes fresh. I love that you have many options on creating your bowl. I also had a taro bubble tea and it was delicious! Employees are very friendly and welcoming. “Just like there is no place like home, there isn't a restaurant quite like the Soup Maison. Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and phenomenal workers (both in and out of the kitchen) -- what more could be asked for? The tomato tortellini soup, buffalo chicken empanadas, and Nelly's Delight can't be found the same anywhere else! Fair Lawn locals are lucky to have such a spot nearby. Can't stop recommending this place!“

The staff that work here are incredibly kind and warm to all customers. On top of all this, they are extremely hardworking! “It's no secret that I am completely addicted to caffeine. And I will admit Starbucks does have in my opinion, one of the most full-bodied flavored espressos. Whenever I order my coffee I always say can you please make it with love and world peace. And as you can see from the photos, the barista did just that. Prices are a bit high I'll admit, but it's a nice treat once in awhile for me. The food they sell is packaged food, a bit pricey and I don't feel the quality is up to the price standards. But you really don't go to a place like this for the food you go there for the coffee.“

“If one wants to get their bagel fix, then this is the place located in Fair Lawn. Greeted by the staff, my partner and I arrived today for a small bite at River Road Hot Bagels. Their bagels are daily made on-site and have a lot of options. There’s a lot of foot traffic as it is takeout only with no seating indoors. Greeted upon arrival, we decided on a wheat bagel with plain cream cheese and a salt bagel with vegetable cream cheese. The bagels were light, fluffy with a decent crisp, good size, and tasty. The counter staff is fast, courteous, and accurate. Price is comparable to the area. We were first-timers today but won’t be our last, as we can recommend this place.“

I got a few donuts and a baguette and it was good but not really anything amazing. Not sure if I would wait in line again for this place when there are so many bakeries in the area.“
