“It’s truly the best of the best“

“My wife and I had a very enjoyable lunch here. I had the veggy pizza which came with a wide variety of vegetables and there were plenty. She had the FRIED GOAT CHEESE salad that came with pears, walnuts, dried cranberries, pancetta, red onion, and mixed greens. She was pleasantly surprised that she got two pieces of goat cheese because when she has ordered this dish before in other restaurants, they only give you one. There was friendly service too.“

“Been to Lagonia's 6 times over the past month every meal has been great! The most recent we 6 people in our party had appetizers (Calamari), soup and salad with Lasagna, Eggplant parm, Veal Par, Pork chops Ala vodka with chicken. Everything was cooked to perfection french onion soup was out of this world. Everything arrived to the table in a timely manner looked great and tasted fantastic. Our waitress was very pleasant and freindly and gave great service, always there if needed but never rushed. I have ordered hamburger on previous visits and it was the best burger I've ever had, not to mention the home made french fries. Burger on the rare side crispy fries both times cooked as ordered. Can't believe that these burgers have not been voted the #1 burger in Chatham! I would HIGHLY recommend Lagonia's to all that wants a great meal.“

“Not my first review of this fabulous restaurant and it won’t be my last! Pico de Gallo was my first choice for my birthday dinner and it never disappoints! Perfect margarita and guacamole with house made crisp chips. Dinner was vegetable enchiladas filled with broccoli, mushrooms, carrots and cauliflower floret. This dish was topped with melted cheese, fresh cotillo cheese and house made tomatillo sauce. The sauce was sweet with a bit of a kick! All served by accommodating, friendly staff. “In all my travels and of my 2 million reviews I have posted, I have to say this was the best eggs Benedict I have ever had as well as the donut and Scone. Historic old hotel building beautifully restored and suited for its purpose. Sandwich menu looked equally as rewarding. We will be back on our future visits for sure“

“Although time has left this place behind inside and out, there’s a certain local feel to this place, as unassuming as its name. I had a great burger—“One-eyed”—a bacon cheese burger topped with a fried egg done over easy. The burger was flame broiled for nice flavor, with real crispy bacon. Fries were hot and crispy. Only the bun was subpar, a bit dry. Prices were decent and good value, though charging nearly $4 for soda was excessive. Service was excellent and friendly. Definitely will return to try other dishes.“
