“This place was amazing!! It was "date night". We were both very satisfied with the place, our food and our interactions with employees. We started with the fried potato pancakes, Delicious!! He had the chicken and waffles and I had the Cali BLT w/ onion rings. The portions are great and the prices are right!! I definitely recommend checking them out.“

“Hands down by far THE best Indian food I’ve ever had, this place will ruin Indian restaurants for you because once you eat here you’ll never want to go anywhere else. The food tastes genuinely fresh and flavor is immaculate, the naan blows every other restaurant out of the water being soft buttery and melts in your mouth. From the very fist bite of my appetizer I knew this place was doing something different and special. I’m not certain but I think this may be a family operation, if so then I’d venture to say their food is made with tender care. Seems like they really want to take the art and skill of Indian cuisine and share it with others. Did I mention the naan melts in your mouth? Makes all other naans seem stale and pre-made like being reheated from frozen. Samosas are fantastic, and my favorite entrees so far have been the lamb vindaloo and goat curry, I’m a fan of heat so usually get it very spicy but they will tailor it to however hot you want it. If the heat gets too much you can always order a mango lassi! My wife got the tandoori chicken which was also very good. Special note about my wife too, she is generally not a fan of Indian food, I had to push so hard to persuade her into giving this place a shot; she was not disappointed and was genuinely in shock at how much she enjoyed the food here, and trust me that’s saying a lot. This place is about hour and a half from where we live and we would happily drive past every Indian restaurant on the way just to go here, please give this place a chance and support this establishment so they can stay in business into the foreseeable future, bc to lose this place would be a tragedy. 5 million out of 5 stars!“

“The menu looked great so we decided to take a chance & we struck gold! The appetizer (Roman artichoke) was delicious, our main courses (Yellowfin tuna bento & the halibut special) were to die for, my cocktail was tasty & our desserts (Lemon ginger panna cotta & banana Napoleon) were unbelievable! If you ever find yourself out this way, try this place! You WON’T be disappointed!“

“The best food and the best restaurant and service“

“Absolutely the best food I have had in Great Barrington. As an avid chicken roaster, I was extremely pleased with their brick chicken. They must brine it or something because it was so tender and well seasoned throughout. On the side was a dandelion salad which converted me from being a dandelion hater. It was so good. As other reviews have said, the corn bread is an absolute must. The peach cobbler for dessert was okay, but the rest of the meal had set such a high bar that I felt it fell short.

The service was sort of mediocre. The waitress was okay, but didn’t come around very frequently and it took a long time when we needed things like a sharper knife for the chicken or the check.

Overall, I highly recommend The Prairie Whale and I hope to be back soon!“

“Imagine my delight when I found this gem during a visit to Great Barrington while touring the area. We had our senior dog with us and my husband and I needed a table outdoors to eat in the shade. Almost out of options, then we walked down a side street off Main Street and found STEAM Noodle Cafe among the few open restaurants on a Monday at the shared patio area. I LOVED the Northern Thai Curry Chicken bowl, accurately described as “flavorful but not spicy”. All I can say is YUMMY. I don’t “do” spicy and am often disappointed when i trust a restaurant to accurately describe a dish as not-spicy. This dish was gorgeous, colorful and I almost licked the bowl clean. While stepping back inside to praise the restaurant, another customer heard my rave review and also ordered that dish. Wish I lived closer, I’d be there often.“

“The "large" pizza is an enormous "party cut" pizza that weighs, like, 20 pounds. Only order it if you have an entire party or football team to feed. What I normally consider a "large" is what they call a "medium".

Parking: Medium sized parking lot around back. Maybe a dozen spaces?

“As a Door Dasher, I love Siam Square Thai Cuisine Great Barrington. Not only are they a lovely place to eat, but they treat their delivery drivers just as well as they do their diners. The gentleman who I believe owns the restaurant is always welcoming and the food is always prepared just on time and is very hot when their Door Dasher arrives, which makes for happy customers. When I used to have the $ to eat out it was one of my favorite places for lunch or dinner. It's very much worth it to go there regularly because there is always something tasty and different to try. Their mango dessert is so simple and so tasty if you have a sweet tooth, and there are many spicy and delicious plant-based options if you're health-conscious. And of course, their Pad Thai, a great introduction to their offerings, is amazing! Siam Square = just in general an awesome experience with people who make everyone feel welcome.🧡“

“On our way home from drone daughter off at camp we stopped in. I got the brisket and rib combo. My wife got the burger. We got a pretzel and Mediterranean snack. It was all delicious. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I will go again.“
