A must for a great evening out. Everything was amazing. I was there on Saturday night and the live music was unbelievable!!! I forgot to get reservations, but was able to get a spot at the bar. No one was leaving and the staff worked so hard to accommodate the crowd.
So sad to see that Pier 701 has closed! Whenever we visited the US from the U.K, we always stopped off at this little gem as it was just beautiful. Staff were always pleasant, quick service and the views/location was ace. Hope it opens again soon (please!)
Hoping Pier 701 opens again soon! The best time of year for dining here is of course spring, summer and fall. The view is amazing and the staff are friendly. We usually sit at the outside tiki bar and enjoy some appetizers.
Pier 701 Restaurant & Bar is a great spot to de-stress and enjoy views of the Hudson River and the Mario Cuomo bridge. The restaurant offers plenty of parking, including valet options, and has a nice, chill atmosphere. The bar serves tasty drinks, and the menu features options such as pizza, angus burger, lobster sliders, and sweet potato fries. While service can be slow during busy times, the staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is a nice place to hang out, particularly in spring, summer, and fall when guests can enjoy the amazing views. There is a lovely area by the river where kids can play. However, some guests have noted that it can be challenging to get a waiter promptly, and there is a charge for bread. Overall, the ambiance and views make it a great spot to visit for lunch or drinks.
