“I NEVER got ice cream and milkshakes so much from an ice cream shop more then when I moved to pine bush and discovered Hometown! The ice cream is so good. Not only that but the food is amazing! Not for nothing but teenagers working there and the food still being quality and delicious I’m super impressed. Also, they are always the sweetest! Never a bad experience“

“I’ve been on a tour of ice cream shops in the area—so far Cherries, Sleeping Giant, and Barthel’s. I think Barthel’s wins for me, because they have 5 different flavors of soft serve: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cotton candy, and I think pineapple. I got the strawberry and it actually tasted like strawberry, rather than something artificial! In terms of prices, they are very high—that small cone dipped in rainbow sprinkles was $5. Still, for the occasional treat, Barthel’s has the best soft-serve among these 3 ice cream shops.“
