“This is great fried chicken. Love the taste. Thanks Pollo Campero for coming to our town. The chicken is definitely higher quality than KFC and Popeyes but delicious, crispy and has a special spice blend different than the other places. Muy bien!“
“I went to pick up my online order on a Sunday evening and the place wasn’t busy, but there were a few customers dining in. My order was ready on time, BUT, two of the six sauces that I requested (two orders of three different sauces) weren’t in the bag. I should’ve checked my bag before leaving, but oh well.I ordered two 1/2 chicken meals, a small side of plantains, and churros. Everything had a good flavor. My favorite was the yuca. Although it was more dense than I’m accustomed to, the season and flavor made up for any shortcomings. I added a bit of their cilantro lime sauce to it and that made it even better. I heard that it’s also good with their chimichurri.I would try Cookoo Rico again, but I probably wouldn’t use an online order app due to the pricing difference.Parking: I don’t know if they sometimes have issues with people frequenting other local businesses and using their parking lot, but I did see signs on several spaces that mention 24-hour parking surveillance. The parking lot was mostly empty when I visited on a Sunday evening.“
“My Hero is an old school spot with old school charm, and it's a forever CLASSIC! I've been coming here for quite some time, it's basically a Long Island institution, but last night we stopped by since it's been a hot second, and the sandwiches were just as iconic as ever. We shared their famous chicken club with melted provolone (you will love that twist), and the breaded chicken cutlets, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and bacon make this club the cult favorite that it is. (I'm all about the bacon for the crunchy, textural, flavorful contrast.) We also shared their Italian sub, aka The Champ, which is filled with Italian meats along with 'the works.' You guys, if you do anything, savor the WORKS. Their blend of shredded lettuce, tomato, onion, oil, vinegar, and oregano is absolutely everything. (I like letting it sit for a bit so the bread gets soggy from all the oil and vinegar goodness, too.) Honestly, I could see having a BLT with 'the works' and being one happy camper, but I digress...LOL. If anyone is looking for an authentic, high quality deli, look no further than My Hero in Merrick. They are a staple through and through.“
“Exceptional!! I was in the area and required a quick catering order. The service from my multiple phone calls to in restaurant was absolutely amazing. The food was great!! Everyone enjoyed it!! My new go to spot when in freeport!! Would recommend 100%.“
“I got the medium spice and lemon pepper sliders. The Lemon pepper was seasoned really well and tasted amazing while the medium spice slider didn’t have any flavor whats so ever. You could only taste the slaw, sauce and pickles. I’d say if you want a kick get the hot. For the chicken it self, it’s juicy and tender. The fries are average even though they are seasoned. If I was around the area I would get it again. It ain’t no Dave’s chicken.7/10“
“I was in the neighborhood and wanted to try something different. Luckily I found this store. Ordered Big Papi from the signature steamed trays and added a pound of mussels and another half pound of the crab legs. The big Lu’s garlic butter is tasty. The portion is surprisingly generous, much more than I expected. We had a feast with very reasonable price.“
“If you're looking for a good chicken place try PDQ.They offer freshly made grilled or crispy chicken (tenders, nuggets & sandwiches), shakes, salads, sides and cookies. They have a variety of great signature sauces that compliment your chicken and/or fries. My favorite is the spicy crispy chicken sandwich with a side of waffle fries. They offer kids' menu too.Great upgrade (not bland or greasy) unlike most fast food chicken options.“
“I would like to start off by saying that the food was amazing! It was my first time being here with my family and we all enjoyed the meal. The only thing I would like to fix from the visit is the customer service. The lady who took my order was busy talking to her co worker while I waited for them to end the conversation. As I gave my order, she showed attitude because I wasn’t so sure about the menu choices and she wanted to rush me. It also seemed like she was almost annoyed that I didn’t know the menu too well. This was very rude of her, for someone coming in for the first time, I can’t just know everything about the store. Please check cameras for today’s date at 8:15ish pm. Otherwise the overall experience was good.“
“I ordered from here on doordash. Waited over an hour. No food. This restaurant called me and told me that no one has come and no one is waiting for the food like doordash said. They took the time to reach out to inform me that my food was waiting. Not only did they do that, but remade the food because we said we would come to get it personally. The food here is always amazing. The open steak sandwich is top tier. The burgers are juicy and tasty. And the salmon is delicious. Amazing food mixed with phenomenal etiquette. You can't beat it. Do not sleep on this place.“
“I usually have a positive experience when I go to Chick-Fli-A, but today I did a mobile order which I always do but when I went up to the drive through window they told me to pull over to one of the designated parking areas and someone will bring me out my food. After pulling into the designated parking spots and waiting five minutes for my food to be brought out, I ended up having to go inside and let them know that no one ever bought me my food.“
“Great Indo-Chinese place with taste/spices for everyone. Will definitely come back. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and there was a quaint amount of seating with a nice interior. Service was speedy, liked that they kept a bottle of water and the table and yet were still attentive to water. They also gauged our spice tolerance (chose mild) and gave chili/spice on the side just in case to taste. Had several dishes to share: Appetizers: Califlower Manchurian, solid crispy on outside and of course tender but not mooshy as it can get Dishes: Hakka Noodles, a highlight! Great taste with the freshness/crisp veggies and firm but not too firm noodles. Lamb Vindaloo, delicious good amount of spice and lamb was at a good level of tenderness Goat Rogan Josh, similar to the above gindamoo really enjoyed the taste and meat texture. Shai Paneer, excellent with a good mixture of tang and spice with an enjoyable amount of creaminess Bread Basket, with regular, garlic, and onion. Onion was a favorite! Will definitely come back!“
“Ordered a catering order for my birthday celebration yesterday and Chicken Au Go Go did not disappoint!! Order came on time, everything was hot and crispy and not greasy! Delicious ! I know prices have gone up everywhere, but it's worth it when the food is perfect!! Thanks Eric !“
“So freaking good! Way better than chick-fila. Very seasoned and the flavors don’t overpower one another. Their lemonade is soooo good!Highly recommend getting the honey butter sandwich w/ lettuce, cheese and bacon. See receipt for order. 10/10 already recommended to friends.“
“Not the first time I had Jamaican food but I had my first Oxtail and Ting drink. The oxtail was done perfectly. The kitchen area is clean, whole area smells good and the staff are polite there, even when it’s at the end of the day, late at night.Vegetarian options: Vegetable patty is there“
“Nice spot , usually not too busy which is nice. Jen and Robert are very good at acrylics , especially when it comes to shaping the nails and looking natural . My nails last over a month without breaking off. They do great designs too. Pedicures are not too rushed and last quite awhile also. Prices are very reasonable.“
“I've been to two separate MFC restaurants in Queens and neither of them could compare to this place. The service was pretty fast and very good, with someone who I believe to be the manager/owner even coming around to ask us if we needed anything. In typical MFC fashion, the food was delicious. The soy garlic boneless tenders and spicy wings are out of this world, and the Parmesan truffle fries were good too. The prices for the food aren't even bad either, I can't think of a single thing wrong with this particular chain. The Plainview location is my new spot, and I'll gladly make the 25 mile trek from Queens to eat here rather than at Forest Hills.Sidenote: I believe they're having some sort of anniversary celebration on 3/1/24. If you're reading this before the date passes, definitely check it out.“
