I have gotten tteokbokki plenty of times before in restaurants but this one tasted so flavorful and the tteok was the perfect consistency! “Since 1996 I have been coming here to Fireside Caterers, and the food here is simply outstanding! Everything is fresh and wonderful, but their chicken cutlet Parmesan hero is probably the best I ever had, anywhere. Fresh cutlets and homemade sauce, on soft hero rolls, this really is the standard that your local deli or pizza joint should be holding itself up to. Counter service is ok 9/10, the tall woman doing checkout is very fast and keeps it moving, but not very friendly— don’t sweat it, it’s NY. Nearly 30 years now I’ve been coming here and I am telling you this is like a super-deli, calling themselves Caterers, don’t let that stop you- I’d eat here every day if I could. Phenomenal eatery. You will never see lunch the same again. I love it.

It’s like a hippy and a Jewish deli owner got married and started a business and you are the beneficiary of sandwich and soup that achieves “excellent” status! If you eat here and don’t try the potato salad you have made a grave error and I am going to have to question your credibility on all things food or food adjacent. Make good choices and eat this potato salad. Eat it slowly. Shed a tear for yourself, because if this is the first time you are eating it….. you have sorely missed out on something special. You deserve it. I had the New York Deli Classic. Pastrami that has attained the level of mana. That’s all you and your kids, family and weird work friends need to know. If you do not try this sandwich, I will come to your home and let your pets go and dump your neighbors’ trash bins into your yard. You have been told. Do something about it. Eat here or else Fido will be loosed on the neighborhood.“

On many occasions, when looking for a specific item, the owner would tell me he'll order it, he's also asked if there's anything else I'd request be carried in the store. “Hands down the best deli on Long Island!!!! Bacon is amazing, service is unmatched, and prices are normal. I’ve been coming to Huntington as of recently due to a new lady I am dating. I tried multiple delis in the area and was so disappointed in every experience I had. My new lady friend suggested this small deli up the road called bay deli. I was reluctant to give another deli a try in this area but let me tell you. I was so surprised at the price of my egg sandwich amongst everything going up these prices were fairly priced and the service was fast and friendly and it was the best egg sandwich I’ve probably ever had.
