“I can not believe that this restaurant has been here on Main Street in Port Jefferson Village for over 20 years and I never ate there!!! This is my new Favorite place to eat. The food was exceptional and good size portions. The pita bread they put out on the table was so delicious I could have made that my meal. The service was extremely attentive and so personable. “We had an incredible experience at Luca in Stony Brook! Came with a group of six friends for a family-style dinner, and everything from the service to the food was outstanding.
Our server, Kacey, made the night—she was incredibly attentive, funny, and personable, with spot-on recommendations throughout the meal. The cocktails were excellent, and they helped me find the perfect glass of wine to pair with our dishes.

The menu had something for everyone, including one pescatarian in our group who had plenty of delicious vegetarian and seafood options.

We shared a range of dishes:
First Course: Artichoke & Crab, Summer Squash, Calamari, and Meatballs—each dish was fresh and flavorful.
Second Course: The Squid Ink Agnolotti and Braised Rabbit Paccheri—both unique and beautifully balanced.
Third Course: Lamb Chop, Potato-Crusted Halibut, and the Wagyu Skirt Steak (a daily special)—all cooked perfectly, with layered textures and bold flavors.

The portions were exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber—elegant but rich and satisfying. Everyone in our group left with very full (and very happy) bellies. Each of us had a different favorite dish, which says a lot about the variety and quality of the food. Can’t wait to come back!“

“Incredible. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Every dish was better than the last. The fried little necks were next level and that’s coming from a native New Englander. Can not recommend enough.

The chef is owner as well and cares about every single thing that leaves his kitchen. The prices are beyond reasonable. You can truly tell he just wants to give people an incredible meal at a fair price.

“Really nice place with a rustic, romantic vibe. The food and service was excellent. Served hot and nicely portioned. Cesar salad was your with anchovies and dressed just right. Artichoke and spinach flatbread appetizer was excellent also.
My girlfriend got the Tuscan chicken over spaghetti and was a really nice portion. It needed a little salt but otherwise was perfect. I got the orrechetti with sausage and broccoli rabe and was very good. Sausage could have been cooked a little less and there could have been more broccoli rabe, but was still enjoyable. One other thing, they asked if I wanted cheese sprinkled on top, which I loved, but they used the wrong cheese. Instead of sprinkling grated Romano, they spooned on shredded parmesan. Not really appropriate for that dish.

“Happened upon this restaurant while visiting Port Jefferson. And glad we did. Got here early enough that we could get a table right away. Steve took great care of us without being overbearing. We started off with the stuffed mushrooms, which were so freaking good. For main course my husband got the Chicken & Sausage Scarpiello, and I had the Veal Scallopini - both were delicious. We finished off sharing the Rainbow Cookie Cheesecake. This exceeded my expectations. Everything was so good that my husband wants to go back tomorrow!“

“Pizza and calzones are always burnt, effecting the taste. Even when you ask the staff to cook it lightly, they still burn them. Calzones have way too much mozzarella cheese, and not enough ricotta cheese. Burnt is the norm here. Staff are friendly.“

“My wife and I had a delightful dinner here during a Thursday evening late last month. When we arrived, we were glad that we had made a reservation, because most tables were occupied already. Live music was provided by a cover band playing popular tunes from a variety of eras: it was well-received by the patrons, some of whom even danced! Several members of the staff alternated serving us; all were pleasant and helpful. Our food - pasta primavera and wonderful, warm bread - was delicious, as were our wine and beer. I look forward to the possibility of another meal here, if we visit the area again.“

The chicken parm, chicken francaise, and pasta dishes were great. Hero was great too. I was a little hesitant hiring them only because I had never used them before. I decided to use them because we had gone there for dinner a few times and loved the meatballs and other dishes (chicken bruschetta for one) and their homemade dipping sauce for their bread. I could be happy with the dipping sauce and bread alone, delicious! We will definitely use them again to cater. They delivered and were right on time.“

“I came in there over the summer with my wife and my grandson, Gerald. We were greeted by a young lady by the name of Brooke. Let me tell ya, she was a wonderful waitress to mi familia y yo! She brightened up out dinner experience and made the whole restaurant glow with positivity. I have never experienced such amazing service in my 73 years of life. I especially want to thank her for being nice to my grandson. he has severe autism and she was just a doll! She even sang him happy birthday (he was turnin 7). “We often stop in for delicious Italian food, a pizza lunch and/or dinner. For my mother in laws 100th we decided to cater dinner at home. Most who know us know how we love to cook, and eat, but it sure was terrific to spend time together, relax & enjoy, with limited clean up.
Food was delicious. Eggplant parm, Penne a la vodka, Chicken Marsala, yummy garlic knots, pasta with escarole & beans, fabulous!
When they found out we were celebrating mom's 100th they sent best wishes and complimentary cookies to have with our espresso & desserts.
Food delivered was warm and fresh. On time. Driver helped us set up.

“Sept 2025: 5 star review. sat down inside and was treated perfectly. It was three of us. The waitress was so nice. The food was absolutely perfect. The garlic knots were the best knots I’ve ever had. Cheesy and garlicky perfection. Would order these every single day. Ordered 16” Paulie’s pie with pepperoni. It did not come out burnt. The taste was perfect!!! Also order buffalo and garlic parm wings. The buffalo sauce was out of this world. The garlic parm was average but still tasty.
I have to say I would return.

August 2025: was a 4 star review. Ordered online and did a pick up. Pizza tasted yummy but lots of the pizza was burnt from the coal fired oven. We couldn’t eat the crust. Otherwise, great flavor“
