“Just visited Osteria Umbra yesterday evening for the 2nd time. This place has quickly become my favorite Italian restaurant on Long Island. The quality of the food is extraordinary, and the service/wait staff is second-to-none. Both times I visited, everyone in my group had a truly exceptional evening. From the moment you walk in the front door through the completion of dessert, this place provides first class service. The Black Truffle Taglierini in the Parmesan cheese wheel is a must try and delightful experience. The Australian Wagyu Tomahawk was absolutely delicious and well worth the order. The Italian Cheesecake is homemade, and is the best I have ever had. If you have the opportunity, make a visit and give this place a try. You won't regret it!“

“What a wonderful find in Smithtown. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. The seafood pasta was loaded with fresh mussels, shrimp, and calamari, while the baked stuffed mushrooms were rich and savory.

Everything was presented beautifully. I particularly loved the vibrant touch of fresh herbs sprinkled over all the plates. It made the entire meal feel that much more special.

We topped off our evening with a refreshing, perfectly chilled cocktail garnished with a lime slice. The atmosphere is lovely and the service was just as great as the food. I will definitely be back.“

“This is one of my favorite restaurants. The quality is on par with Manhattan restaurants at Long Island prices. I normally go for lunch take out. But two days ago I had dinner. They had homemade sweet corn rice balls and homemade sweet corn ravioli. They were outstanding. Restaurant is small but nice. The staff is very attentive without being overbearing.“

Always great food and staff, we have even used their catering and the owner Sal always comes over and says hi! Keep it small and make sure you come to this amazing small business. “We catered for 100 people from Branchanelli’s earlier this month. All of the food was delicious. It was fresh and hot when we picked it up. The tray of calamari was crispy and you can tell it was just cooked. Our guests kept telling us how much they enjoyed their dinner.“

“Happened upon this restaurant while visiting Port Jefferson. And glad we did. Got here early enough that we could get a table right away. Steve took great care of us without being overbearing. We started off with the stuffed mushrooms, which were so freaking good. For main course my husband got the Chicken & Sausage Scarpiello, and I had the Veal Scallopini - both were delicious. We finished off sharing the Rainbow Cookie Cheesecake. This exceeded my expectations. Everything was so good that my husband wants to go back tomorrow!“

I go here for birthdays celebrations to brunches as often as I can. Try their Malbec and flourless chocolate cake which is naturally gluten-free—in fact, their brunches have almost all gluten-free options. The coffee is smooth and just wonderful. The outdoor dining experience is as if you are at a party in Europe. They already see me often for 10 years—I love food and this gets my repeat business. Try it at least! The grilled chicken in the Greek salad was very moist and soft. Loved their 6 slice pizza too-great cheese and perfect amount of sauce that’s way less acidic than other local pizza, maybe partially because they use less sauce. Staff were very kind too. “This was an online delivery. Great job by everyone. Full portions of entre, soup and salad. A lot of to go orders from other places cheap out on portions but this was possibly more than would get in restaurant. They even gave utensils, packets of croutons, grated cheese, salad dressing and even the andes candies treats. I highly endorse 😃😃“
