La Famiglia is a highly recommended Italian restaurant located on Long Island. The food is authentic and to die for, with excellent service and a relaxing atmosphere. The calamari, lemon chicken, and fish were particularly delicious. The restaurant is well-decorated with a good-sized bar, although the parking lot can be a bit small due to its popularity. The hot antipasto platter and meatballs were tremendous. The penne ala vodka was very tasty. The baked clams are great and the veal pizzaiola is great. The service is great and everything was perfect from service to food. Some dishes, however, were very bland and the pasta sauce had no taste. The eggplant parm was a mound of mush and the Caccio de Pepe had too much olive oil. Overall, La Famiglia offers a lively atmosphere and quality food that left guests impressed and planning to return.
