“I came back to Tap House on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. The bartender was super friendly. I ordered a burger from the brunch menu, which was delicious by the way, and she replaced the tots with fries and since brunch includes a drink she included the beer I was already drinking (brunch menu only had mimosas, screw driver and a couple other drinks, but beer). Fries were also delicious! Nice ambiance music and friendly patrons. I will definitely be back! Parking isn’t easy but you can find metered parking. Be careful if you park near the residential area because some streets are private and they can boot your car.“

Paddy G's Sports Bar Sports Bar • $

“It's a simple dive bar that mostly seems to serve the post work crowd. Taking a star off as they didn't seem to have any beers on Tap. Might have been a one off but I feel that a bar must have some options on Tap.
Seemed like mostly locals when I dropped by during a Copa America match.“

“I had 12oz Ribeyes with sides of steamed broccoli and mashed potato, waffles fries and a coke.
- First of all waffle fries is really delicious 4.5/5.
- For Ribeyes it was thin and I ordered medium-rare, it came medium. Tastes a little salty for me, I like the flavor. It is pricy for this quality of meat choice and cook. Sides are okay. 3.5/5“

“I came here for the first time recently because of an event that I attended. This place is truly exceptional with its hospitality and service as the staff was fantastic.

This restaurant is a well-known institution in Queens and has been in business since 1933, and I could see why they have been around for so long.

I really didn't get a chance to try anything from their food menu, but the drinks I ordered were really good, and the bartenders are super nice. This place has a great sportsbar vibe, and it is a great place for hosting events since this restaurant is quite large.

I noticed other reviewers complaining about the parking situation in this area, but since I came quite early, I didn't have any issues finding street parking near the restaurant.

Based on my first impression of this place, I will definitely stop by again in the near future to grab a bite and a few drinks.“

“EXCELLENT local Bayside restaurant. Delicious food and HUGE portions. They offer a mix of Cajun and American dishes. There is an open air rooftop bar that stays open till 2am on weekends and food is available as well. They have a Prime rib night on Mondays and a lobster fest on Tuesday. Both incredible value and delicious. When you go asked to be seated in Eleanore's section. She's an amazing server and will give you the all attention needed to make your meal a complete success.“

“This place was definitely a vibe. I went in for the happy hour with coworkers after work. One person was visiting back from out of the country so we planned to catch up. The music was loud enough to enjoy but we can hear each other speak even though we were sitting right next to the dj booth. The seating was amazing as there’s really big booths but still cushioned seating for those who aren’t sitting in the booth. The food was fresh but the best part is the owner was walking around and he was extremely nice. I love to see that. You can tell he really cares about this spot which clearly translates into amazing service.
Also last but not least tip was included and the server let you know that. A lot of restaurants I’ve visited lately included tip, they don’t tell you and the servers get an attitude when you ask or they try to hide it so that you tip more. This place was upfront which makes me want to tip more! I will definitely be coming back!“

The Shillelagh Tavern Irish Pub • $
47-22 30th Ave., Queens

“I was looking for a new karaoke bar to attend. I found out Shillelagh Tavern is an active venue for shows, open mic jamm sessions and karaoke. I went there on a Saturday night on karaoke night. It's starts a bit late. At 11:30 pm you can start picking your songs. I like the crowd. There were a lot of good singers. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The bar itself is also
great. They have a great selection of beers and well drinks. All the bartenders I dealt with were
professional and quick to attend to me. I recommend this lovely little off the beaten path watering hole. They don't sell food there, but they hold the menus for several take out places on the block. You can order from the menu and they will deliver it to you.“

“My experience at this restaurant was mostly positive, with the exception of one unfortunate incident with the drink order. Despite requesting a virgin piña colada for the children, the waitress brought it with alcohol, which could have been dangerous since the children had already consumed some of the drink. She noticed the mistake and ran to the table but the children had already had a couple of drinks ? Despite this inconvenience, we decided not to cause a scandal and let it go.

As for the rest of the experience, the food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. However, it is crucial that the restaurant improves its processes to ensure that drink orders are served correctly, especially when it comes to serving alcohol to minors.

Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, but I suggest being careful when ordering drinks to avoid awkward situations like the one we experienced. I hope you take steps to improve this and provide an even better experience for your customers in the future!“

“I went during my lunch hours(around 11am) so it looked like they had just opened up for the day. There were no customers and as soon as I walked in I was greeted, which was a pleasant surprise since I walked in and originally didn't see anybody. I ordered 3 tacos(mixed) and they came out to about $14. They tasted good and were fulfilling since I was only hungry and not starving ☺. I'd return.“
