“Loved this restaurant! We had a lovely round of drinks from their fun menu; sake margarita and a black cosmo? The service was good, our server started strong and did get slower as our meal went on but the restaurant also got busy so it made sense. Luckily they had busboys helping out. All the meals we had were delicious, specifically the burrata appetizer. We also had the most delicious sweet potato cheesecake for dessert, it might be seasonal though so go in now! Also our chocolate martinis were to die for, props to the bartender. It was a bit pricey but had a lovely chic and fancy vibe. My whole party really enjoyed our dinner here, highly recommend a visit!“

I’ve been to Buns Burgers (and the Saugerties location as well), and overall it’s a solid choice.

It’s best described as upscale fast-food–style burgers, but with better quality ingredients. The burgers are well made, satisfying, and consistently good, and you can tell care goes into what they serve.

It can feel a bit pricey for a fast-casual experience, and the vibe is more quick and casual than sit-down dining, but the quality sets it apart from typical fast food.

Overall, a reliable spot when you want a good burger without a long wait, and definitely one I’d return to.“

“My husband and I took a little day trip from Albany today with no real destination in mind, besides checking out Samuels Sweet Shop. As we drove through town, your restaurant caught our eye! After asking the sweet clerk at Sam’s how your food was, we decided to have lunch on her suggestion. And we are so glad we did! The interior of the restaurant is very nice and it was so warm and cozy as we entered. Your staff were wonderful. We each had a drink… I had a Bellini and he chose a beer. Our server was nice enough to look up the brewery his beer was from for us too (nice added touch that he didn’t have to do) We started our meal with calamari. The breading was so delicious and not heavy and the pineapple dipping sauce was a tasty surprise. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich and he opted for steak. My chicken was the perfect blend of hot and sweet and so good. My husband’s steak was perfectly and we both enjoyed the horseradish sauce it was served with. Both served with your homemade shoestring fries. Both, so good! We had a lovely time sitting and conversing. Your waitstaff checking in just enough to make sure we were taken care of and not pushy to get us out. Overall we loved it! We can’t wait to come back in warm weather and try your outdoor seating. “I wanted to order a Boston Cream Pie for my brother's birthday & I wasn't sure of where to go, so I googled bakeries near me. The Meltaway Bakery was my first and last stop! I bought a few cupcakes, Oreo balls, lemon bars and mini key lime pies to sample and I knew right then that I had found the place! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cake, it was perfect!!! The quality of the pastries were also perfect, the owners are very nice, the prices are reasonable (almost LOW for what you are getting!!!) and I will be going back ASAP! “What a treasure in uptown Kingston! It was a last minute decision to find a good salad last night. Well, we hit gold! The salads were unique and delicious! The presentation was beautiful. Max the bartender/server was one of the most charming people I’ve met in a long while. I will be back to try everything n the menu!“

There were several errors on the menu, that the staff seemed to know about but have not fixed and never mentioned when we were ordering. “Last Sunday, I celebrated my 70th birthday at home and decided to hire a catering service, knowing I did not want to do the work myself.
I chose Stone Soup, a small street-front food store in Kingston near my location. This business has been in the area for more than 17 years, offering catering services and serving the local community breakfast, lunch, and dinner with healthy and delicious food. Gwenn Sorensen, the owner, and her team deliver magnificent service to our community. She is a very special person, soft, well-spirited, and highly knowledgeable about food. She comes from an Austrian European background, has a refined palate, and provides excellent recommendations to her clients. The chef, Steve, her husband, is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of New York.
I was awe-stricken by the quality and presentation of the food, as well as the excellent service her team delivered. Most of my guests asked who prepared the food, and, obviously, I passed along her information.
I knew, from the first time I met Gwenn — before I even considered hiring her as my caterer — that I would be in good hands because of her professionalism, excellent customer service, pleasant personality, and the food she and her husband cook for the daily customers.
If you need a catering service, do not look further —Stone Soup is your place. I highly recommend this business.“
