Happy Fresh Taco 墨西哥餅

As of early 2022, this tiny family-owned and operated Tex-Mex style take-out spot has been closed (gate down) for months and I miss them. I don't know if they will re-open, but I enjoyed coming here for the cheap grub. There was no pretense that it was "authentic" type of Mexican food, just the type of cheap and feeling menu offerings popular in many places. I use to order from this place every few days when I lived in bushwick 13 years ago. I was surprised to see it still around when I moved back to the area this year. I was so excited to try the tostada salad again. It use to be the best salad I ever had. The meat, grilled onions, I believe it use to have sour cream in it with a layer of beans at the bottom. This place has great food for what you pay. Their burritos are big. My favorite dish has become the super fajita. Either steak or chicken, you cannot go wrong. We eat here almost every week.
