Char's physical plant has recently undergone superficial/minor renovation. Noise from the contiguous hotel bar continues to spill over into the dining area; *any* table location will remain affected to a degree. It's especially irksome if there's conference/meeting bar patronage, and attendees are big in number and/or rowdiness. Food/service was very good. Waiter Mark was affable and accommodating. Waiter had no idea what was going on... we had to wave him over several times as he stood behind the bar looking bored as hell. Not to mentioned it took 30 mins to bring out 3 salads and a lobster roll. hopefully dinner service is better.

Our party of 6 dined on a Friday night and had a lovely meal. The food was fabulous and all 6 steaks were grilled to perfection. We loved the wedge salad and the mushroom and spinach sides, but were not fans of the lobster Mac and cheese. The service was excellent.
