I ordered the curry goat and Somali rice with salad to ease me into the food. I am familiar with Jamaican foods so I thought this would be a good transition into Haitian/ West African food. It took about 10 minutes for them to prepare, but when I received it, it was very fresh tasting and tasted nothing like Jamaican curry. The goat fell off the bone and was seasoned to perfection with unfamiliar but tasty seasonings. The Somali rice was very long grained and was so soft it almost tasted like the texture of rice-oroni. It came with a green hot sauce that I didn’t know was hot. I learned to use a dab to make it palatable for me but if you love hot it’s a great addition to the food. The host was very nice and even allowed me to taste a bit of the things I never even heard of before. He was very informative on all the food and culture, and compared the foods to things I have tasted before to help me get a better idea of what things were like. This was an amazing first experience and I can’t wait to try more foods.Kid-friendliness: My son ran in the back and the host brought him back. I apologized and he smiled and said he had 3 sons, no worriesWheelchair accessibility: Entire entrance is a ramp

Me and my family were visiting from out of town and wanted a Haitian or African market restaurant to purchase a couple of goodies. We found this place via Google. We were very disappointed when we got there. The store is much smaller thAn we anticipated and the restaurant barely had any options. Furthermore the smell in there. Oooofff this place needs to be more ventilated. The air felt stuffy and hot.Parking: There's a free parking lot in the back of the store

I ordered my food and picked it up. The food was terrible. The beef and rice the meat they give you is like very little . Four little cubes 0.5 cm in size. Taste was nasty ??? .
Great dining experience, friendly, clean. Will definitely return!

The food is great and spicy the way I love it . There is one guy that speaks English and he took his time explaining what the items were on the menu and also let me sample taste some things. The energy is great and I loved the food. Jollof rice is great but very different from what I’m use too. Large portions. Please everyone get a chicken patty they are so amazing.

Try everything! We had a WONDERFUL time! Start with any of the pastries in the case. We had the beef, the lentil, and a smoked fish with peppers and hard boiled egg. Spectacular. The oxtails are incredible and enjoyed the Somali rice. Sweet fried plantains with spicy pickle rounded it out. We met the owner! What a wonderful man! All smiles and welcoming. As new guests, he explained the whole concept and showed us some of their house made juices to round out our meal. I had the hibiscus sorrel (mint, lemon, African ginger) and a spicy pineapple with lemon and mint. Both were sooooooo good (good for you too)! Oh! And ginger tea! Highly suggest you drop by! You won't regret it!

I wanted to taste some of the dishes, they looked very good. I could not due to the fact i cannot eat seafood. All dishes are made with fish. The fish is cooked down and they prepare the dish afterwards.
They are expensive, but consider the ingredients that are used bring the cost up.
Quite a few vegetarian dishes.
