“For as long as I can remember, my grandmother was a patron of this bakery. I remember her bringing home these mini lemon meringue pies and how excited we all were. She passed last October and since then, my sister and I have been wanting to stop by and get some. I went in this week for the first time in probably twenty years and the feeling was so nostalgic. They didn't have any that day but allowed me to order them. The woman who assisted me was so kind, great customer service. When I picked them up and watched them package it, it took me back. The first bite took me back to my childhood. They were absolutely perfect! You guys are incredible and I will be back for more.“

“We had the best experience ever with this bakery - the cake was included in our venue pricing through this bakery, and I can definitely see why! Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! We even asked for an extra birthday cupcake for our nephew to have on the day of the wedding, and they made it sooo cute! (wish I could figure out how to add a picture here... It was SO pretty!!!)“

“Best strawberry shortcake ever! The berry napoleon and red velvet cupcake were excellent as well. If you buy a cake, make sure the box is tied properly. I had a newbie and my cake box was not tied correctly. If I carried it by the string, it would have smashed to the ground. The servers could be more friendly and not so grumpy.“

This was a stand out and in my opinion represents what the essence of New York is a combination of cultures and experiences coming together making affordable food that blows one's mind when eating.... “Whenever I'm in Merrick, which is usually two or three times a month, I always stop at Bagelman of Merrick. They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get. I've come to know the owner, Boris, and his staff, and they are always most helpful. Looking forward to my next trip to Merrick.“

“The food was amazing, I got the Texas Hold ‘em but with grilled chicken and they did an amazing job. They cook the chicken/bacon right in front of your eyes, plus the food tastes incredibly fresh. I recommend getting one of their panini’s, they know what they are doing and most likely what they have on the menu is a really good idea.The place has a huge drink selection on the wall, a few shelves full of chips, and the menu is incredibly easy to read and it actually includes the ingredients which you don’t see anymore nowadays.The staff was super nice and took your order quickly, somehow the (I believe manager) remembered my order (Texas hold ‘em with grilled chicken) in just three visits.Sadly soon I’ll have to leave New York and won’t be able to eat here anytime soon, but I will remember this place.“

“Cat is an absolute artist when it comes to anything dessert related. Recently she baked me my wedding cake and it was completely personalized and unique to all the requests that myself and my wife requested. She even personally delivered it to the wedding venue and coordinated with venue staff on the day of my wedding. I highly recommend stopping in for a variety of brownies/cookies/etc or for bigger event like a wedding cake!“

(There goes my diet) I ran across Layers from Uber Eats and googled the store to read the reviews which were great but I saw some bad reviews about the cakes being stale and not fresh. My cravings got the best of me and I ordered despite some bad reviews. Man oh man was I happy I did. The brownie was delicious and moist. I hate hard dry brownies this place did not disappoint.
