They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get. I've come to know the owner, Boris, and his staff, and they are always most helpful. Looking forward to my next trip to Merrick.“

I love their atmosphere, their employees—this location is amazing, and I've made myself a weekly regular solely from his hospitality.“

“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

So fresh, so well decorated and exactly as requested. I give my 100% plus recommendation to anyone looking for a bakery. It is worth traveling to. The donuts were awesome too just as advertised. “Layers Bakeshop is hands down my favorite bakery. The first time I ever had Layers was actually in Pakistan, so it already held a special place for me. Later on, a close friend introduced me to the U.S. locations and fun fact, she and her brother actually own the franchise. They’ve truly done an amazing job with every store so far.

I’ve been to about three Layers locations, and while the Elmont Layers Bakeshop location is the smallest one, it’s also the closest to me, which makes it my go-to. The quality, presentation, and consistency are always on point.

Honestly, I love almost everything from this bakery, but right now my absolute favorite is anything Lotus-flavored you really can’t go wrong with it. The desserts are rich, balanced, and never disappoint.

I also noticed they’ve started making candles, which is such a smart and creative addition to the brand. It just shows how much thought they put into expanding beyond desserts while keeping the same aesthetic and quality.

If you haven’t tried Layers yet, you’re seriously missing out. Highly recommend stopping by especially the Elmont location if you’re nearby.“
