“Stopped in here after cashing in my birthday scratch off next store. Never knew this place existed. Lovely friendly owner. Bought a cranberry muffin and a corn muffin. First time in years I had a fresh homemade muffin that I didn’t make myself, except these weren’t dry like mine are. These aren’t your typical commercial mix bakery muffins full of preservatives! I will be back to try more homemade goodies.“

“Came here for Mother’s Day and the food was delicious. The service was way too slow though. They were packed but really understaffed. A nice server came and introduced herself and I sat with coffee for a good 45 mins until someone brought our food over. Several other tables were waiting for the same time as well, maybe more. The server however was very nice. Everything is cooked fresh here and I enjoyed tasting everything because I was full by the time I took the first few bites. I recommend hiring more staff especially on busy holidays.“

“My wife was looking for a bakery who made eggless cakes and she stumbled upon this bakery by chance. She ordered a custom made gulab jamun flavored eggless cakes and. It was definitely one of the best cakes I had especially for my birthday. My folks also grabbed a few puffs - mixed vegetable and paneer puffs while they went to grab the cake. Those were spicy and delicious as well. We will be ordering regularly from this bakery moving forward. Definitely want to try all their different flavored items. Highly recommended!“

“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

“The food was amazing, I got the Texas Hold ‘em but with grilled chicken and they did an amazing job. They cook the chicken/bacon right in front of your eyes, plus the food tastes incredibly fresh. I recommend getting one of their panini’s, they know what they are doing and most likely what they have on the menu is a really good idea.The place has a huge drink selection on the wall, a few shelves full of chips, and the menu is incredibly easy to read and it actually includes the ingredients which you don’t see anymore nowadays.The staff was super nice and took your order quickly, somehow the (I believe manager) remembered my order (Texas hold ‘em with grilled chicken) in just three visits.Sadly soon I’ll have to leave New York and won’t be able to eat here anytime soon, but I will remember this place.“

We are in Brisbane, Australia and tried a number of bakeries in the New York area and nobody could deliver. We emailed Mike and he wrote back right away and said he could definitely do it. We followed up with a phone call and got a wonderful basket personally delivered by Mike. He made the experience so easy and emailed me when delivered. “Legendary Brooklyn baker Don Paco López has finally opened a Long Island outpost. This is the same bakery that was immortalized at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, and has a cult following for its conchas, tamales and milanesa and pierna tortas. The Westbury location is also tended by members of Don Paco López’ family so quality is guaranteed. The bread is fresh, made daily (by hand). I had an order or Bavarian cream-filled churros for a school event and they were a smashing hit. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

We love walking to the bakery with our dogs, getting a snack and a coffee (their iced coffee has coffee iced cubes, which is such a nice touch), so for our small wedding we called and asked if they could bake our wedding cake.Well, as this photo hopefully suggests, they did an incredible job. Cat was so unbelievably kind and helpful and responsive in working with me to design our dream cake. It was reasonably priced, designed perfectly and was utterly delicious. “I go to Diane’s all the time for coffee and baked goods, at least once a week. I invited new moms and dads from the Roslyn school today for a gathering at Diane’s this morning to support local business. We had about 12 people. Sat outside at the patio where the shaded area was. Everybody all bought coffee and pastries. We arranged the tables and chairs in a long row so we could see each other. Later we were told by Diane, the owner, that she wasn’t happy that we rearranged her tables and sat together in a row. Why? The place wasn’t crowded with other guests. We all bought and paid for goods. I couldn’t help but thinking that because we were all Asians?! She could ask us kindly to put the tables and chairs back once we finish, which we did without being asked at the end. But with the unwelcoming remarks I will never come to support this business again. I don’t say this lightly but I felt it was discrimination in every way. I’m truly disappointed. I love Diane’s and the yummy treats but the owner was truly unkind. I share this post here because I don’t think this business supports diversity, which is a shame because this community is becoming more and more diversified.“
