“Great taste of home for this New Orleans transplant. The crawfish etouffee and gumbo are delicious. The bread pudding is yummy too. There is a well stocked market adjacent to the ordering counter that has many basic groceries as well as prepared foods and regional specialties. Looking forward to trying more of their extensive menu.“
“Came here for hibachi, it was my first time going so I have no context but this was SO FUN! We showed up 30 minutes before closing and they were so nice, happy to seat us and did a full hibachi for just us 2. There was live music, the hibachi chef was hilarious, they brought out a free desert for my birthday, everything was so fast and the food was great. We got the chicken, filet, shrimp and lobster and loved all of it- huge portion, great time, highly recommend!“
“Just ordered dinner to-go and I have to say, it is just as amazing as if I were eating at the restaurant. Portions are great and food was hot. I also ordered a side of coleslaw and this was the best I have ever had. It was so refreshing with the cucumber that they add in it. Yum! Then my meal got even better when I got to my dessert! The banana cream pie was absolutely delicious!! Love this place!“
“I love coming to hook & reel!!! I feel like the flavors for seafood boil is flavorful compared to other places. I’ve had Sarah as my waitress twice already and she is the best. Always attentive. Good energy & her recommendations for appetizers or food has been spot on. I also appreciate that she remembers her customers too, which is so uncommon in today’s society. Hook & reel has a forever customer is myself & my sister!!“
“My hubby came here to celebrate his birthday and we had a great time. We tried the all-you-can-eat menu from Monday to Thursday for $50 per person. The Dungeness crab with the special sauce was fantastic and very juicy. We also had king crab legs, shrimp, calamari, and more, all of which were very tasty. The only thing we didn't like was that the restaurant charged $15 if we left too much food on our plates. We had to finish everything we took or pay a fee for wasting food. While I understand why the restaurant discourages food waste, I found it silly that they decided how much food we should leave.“
“Ordered from this place for the 1st time and eventhough i only live about 10 minutes away it took the uber driver 23 minutes to get the order to me..... even with that being said, the food came hot and it was delicious. The only thing i wish is that they would supply the utensils needed to crack open the crabs but if you have some industrial scissors and a good hammer and forks you can make it work. I would absolutely recommend this place even for ordering if you live near by it is worth it. next time i want a seafood boil i will go to this location in person to be able to experience the restaurant itself, the staff, and the service.“
“You'll always get a good meal there consistent. One of the best burgers in Queens. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's been an establishment in Bayside for a long time. And they're open late kitchen stays open you won't be “
“our family was there on 5 March. we had the party room. the place is very pleasant. However, the food and especially the service was outstanding. the two young people who waited on us were beyond reproach. Thanks you Voodoo Crab!Parking: there is street parking available, and there is a municipal lot behind the property.Kid-friendliness: my daughter had a Shiley Temple in the same pouch the grown ups had their drinks. she really enjoyed that small detail.“
