“We are full-time wedding photographers who did not have the pleasure of working at the Glen Island Harbour Club until January 2025. Winter weddings can be tough if you are not at an iconic location with extensive interiors conducive to photography meant to maximize the natural and ambient light, but in this case, it was perfect! The bridal suite was stupendous and the guys had a perfect place to get ready, too. All the areas had a lot of daylight considering it was the darkest time of the year and were elegantly furnished. The spaces all complimented the chosen scarlet red and classic tux look. We went outdoors for a bit despite the cold and windy day and loved the views of the water. Everywhere we went the staff was perfect for our couple, their family and friends, and us as vendors. We had scouted the venue beforehand, but we did not realize just how much room we’d have to work with - especially getting ready, taking spectacular shots on the staircase and in the lobby, during the ceremony even with so many guests, and for the reception with a huge dance floor. The food during cocktail hour was absolutely amazing with seemingly limitless options for everyone. The venue staff made sure we had a nice meal as well while checking in on the little things we love such as ensuring we’re set for the entrances and knew the itinerary for the reception. And again, this was our impression during the most difficult time of the year! I cannot imagine how extraordinary the property is during warm seasons, but we hope to find out soon. While this is written from the perspective of a small business owner, this is an unbiased and unsponsored review, and we appreciated the sensational first visit with hopefully many more to come. “Chef Jaime catered an outdoor party I hosted this week and she did a fabulous job. Everything from the presentation of the food to the food itself ( delectable) to the passing of wine and dessert to the clean up ( she left my kitchen spotless) was exceptional. My guests could not stop raving about the food for the entire afternoon (and for days afterwards!). She was also very intuitive about what was needed in the moment. And she and her assistant worked completely independently so I was able to enjoy my party. I recommend her most highly.“

“We decided as Suffolk County residents to take a ride towards Nassau County and wound up in the beautiful town of Bayville. While there we came across Mill Creek Tavern. Getting there a little earlier guaranteed us a spot in a small parking lot but certainly noticed many parking areas on the street would accommodate all. We were greeted by an extraordinary friendly staff that accommodated one of us with impaired hearing by putting us in an area that would have the least amount of noise as this was a Saturday evening. We were fortunate to get two service persons, our first one was Sue who was pleasant friendly and very patient as this was our first visit. Jean then became our server and we couldn't say enough great things about her. Personality experience humorous courteous all rolled up into one. Our drinks were professionally made and the food delicious. We left Mill Creek and agreed in changing our reservation for next week in another Nassau restaurant, and come back to Mill Creek. So thank you all for making our "virgin cruise" to Mill Creek Tavern, a great one.“

The salads (macaroni, potato, Cole slaw) that came along with the order were on point! He went above and beyond in making everything easier for us in every way. The venue was decorated absolutely beautifully. From the stage setup to the backdrop to the table centerpieces, everything was wonderful. All the guests could not stop commenting upon how gorgeous everything was. The food was also very good! “This location i have come to a few times. It has progressively become better and better.
The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and quite, while there is a great social bar, with very nice accomodationimg staff and the downtown has become much better than it use to be that this hotel is right within.

Only downside I've experienced is the up charge fee for late checkout. Normally around the world a late checkout there is not a secondary charge of you request up till 1-2pm. Unfortunately this hotel is going with the US trend of charging consumers for needing a later checkout even if you checking at 11pm bc of late travel etc.. Only down on have to say, but hotel it top notch“

“Dropped by during our long bike ride to grab some burritos. We did not see them on the online menu but we called in advance to order for pickup and asked if they had them, they said yes of course. They were very nice to us and it was nice on such a rainy day to grab some delicious warm food and sit down inside to warm up. The tortillas they made the burritos from were nice and flaky, there was a good amount of steak in our steak burritos and they were served with a generous amount of rice and beans (also delicious). The sauces were all on point as well. The staff was very nice.“

The only negative was the the mini burgers were undercooked, causing someone to get sick. So next time, I would stress that the mini burgers should be fully cooked. Other than that, no complaints!“

My son drove up from VA to attend the wedding of one of his best friends. It was about 6pm when we pulled up. It was so mesmerizing. The lights and the fountains just pure awesomeness. “Chris is da man and hooks up some bomb sandwiches. This is a main north Stamford stop along since I had some issues at LaRoccos on long ridge. The staff is polite but when some leaves the door open it can get to hot or cold so of course they need to say something we were not raised in a barn door. If I drop off my guys and I need a quick snacky snack i gotta stop here for some grub and chit chat. Love this place and support the local community business everyone“

“Came here for a quick snack and some paletas. We tried the pineapple, and strawberry coconut popsicle. Very creamy (strawberry and coconut) refreshing (pineapple), flavorful and all natural. My daughter also got a mangonada. The mangonada had chunks of mango and cucumber. Delicious. I wanted to try el chicharrón preparado. Must say the portion was big enough to share. Ingredients were fresh, chicharrón was crispy and crunchy. I really enjoyed it. The lady that helped me was nice and I would definitely come back to try more paleta flavors“
