“I've driven by this place a billion times and never once gave it a second thought. I'm also not a food truck kinda guy but wow did I just find a new spot to frequent.

Prices are so reasonable considering today's absurdity and the food is great. I had the brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, both tasted great. My foodie fiance loved it as well and she's a tough crowd.

If you skipped this place before, turn back and give it a shot. The guy who helped me was very polite, which is rare to see good in person customer service these days. Trust me, this joint should have way more than 30 reviews.“

“We had a fantastic wedding experience at Whitby Castle! 🏰✨ The planning was seamless thanks to Ralph and Niki, and on the big day, Roxy and Rosa kept everything running perfectly on schedule. The food was a total highlight—the chef is excellent and even took the time to speak with our guests personally. “We are full-time wedding photographers who did not have the pleasure of working at the Glen Island Harbour Club until January 2025. Winter weddings can be tough if you are not at an iconic location with extensive interiors conducive to photography meant to maximize the natural and ambient light, but in this case, it was perfect! The bridal suite was stupendous and the guys had a perfect place to get ready, too. All the areas had a lot of daylight considering it was the darkest time of the year and were elegantly furnished. The spaces all complimented the chosen scarlet red and classic tux look. We went outdoors for a bit despite the cold and windy day and loved the views of the water. Everywhere we went the staff was perfect for our couple, their family and friends, and us as vendors. We had scouted the venue beforehand, but we did not realize just how much room we’d have to work with - especially getting ready, taking spectacular shots on the staircase and in the lobby, during the ceremony even with so many guests, and for the reception with a huge dance floor. The food during cocktail hour was absolutely amazing with seemingly limitless options for everyone. The venue staff made sure we had a nice meal as well while checking in on the little things we love such as ensuring we’re set for the entrances and knew the itinerary for the reception. And again, this was our impression during the most difficult time of the year! I cannot imagine how extraordinary the property is during warm seasons, but we hope to find out soon. While this is written from the perspective of a small business owner, this is an unbiased and unsponsored review, and we appreciated the sensational first visit with hopefully many more to come. “Absolutely, hands down 10/10. From the very first email to the days following our wedding, the staff at The View, especially our friend Vincent, made us feel welcome and cared for. They were an absolute delight to work with, from beginning to end. From the moment you enter, the facilities are gorgeous. Everything is beautifully maintained and well thought out, including an AMAZING bridal AND groom suite, AND a salon area- which no other venue we looked at had. The in-house chef was happy to work with us to create a custom menu, that was not only fully vegetarian, but also included Indian, American and Italian classics. Our guests are still raving about the food! All areas of The View-ballroom, cocktail area, bar, patio, bridal/groom suites/salon- are stunning. It is the perfect size for a smaller or medium sized wedding, which was great because so many other venues in the area have guest minimums of 200 or 250. The facility is gorgeous. The staff and management are flexible, welcoming and attentive. The food is great. Bar is great. What more could you want! And if anyone reading this decides to have their wedding at The View- please invite me! I’m dying to return as a guest! 😂😂😂“

“Chef Jaime catered an outdoor party I hosted this week and she did a fabulous job. Everything from the presentation of the food to the food itself ( delectable) to the passing of wine and dessert to the clean up ( she left my kitchen spotless) was exceptional. My guests could not stop raving about the food for the entire afternoon (and for days afterwards!). She was also very intuitive about what was needed in the moment. And she and her assistant worked completely independently so I was able to enjoy my party. I recommend her most highly.“

“My mother's 90th birthday Celebration was hosted by Eastwood Manor and their staff. We got a beautiful and clean space to entertain my mother's guests. The staff was attentive to our requests and injected a suggestion or 2 when necessary. Boucher and Boston are worth mentioning as they stood out. The lady with the reddish brown afro was quite responsive also. The entire staff was friendly and responsive. Whoever is training the staff is doing a great job, as the standards were visible. The food was also great! Friendly and responsive staff, great atmosphere, and great food made the Celebration fabulous, all we had to do was show up doing our part...decorations, DJ, videographer, slide show etc. I would definitely secure Eastwood Manor for hosting another event.“

“This location i have come to a few times. It has progressively become better and better.
The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and quite, while there is a great social bar, with very nice accomodationimg staff and the downtown has become much better than it use to be that this hotel is right within.

Only downside I've experienced is the up charge fee for late checkout. Normally around the world a late checkout there is not a secondary charge of you request up till 1-2pm. Unfortunately this hotel is going with the US trend of charging consumers for needing a later checkout even if you checking at 11pm bc of late travel etc.. Only down on have to say, but hotel it top notch“

The cabbage and side items also look good but I just add at home a side and the meal is done. Also the coffee is my favorite in the neighborhood. Muffins melt in my mouth particularly the corn and chocolate chip. They should have more chocolate chip or maybe not bc I would buy and eat it more. There food is great home cooked style for a FAIR price. I’m so glad they are in my neighborhood.“
