“I want to extend a huge thank you to Leo for inviting us to his fantastic Tex-Mex restaurant. Del Fuego in St. James boasts a stunning interior and a lively atmosphere that perfectly complements its innovative menu.
The Skirt Steak Fajitas was a standout, featuring a bold and unexpected combination of flavors. The apple empanada with coconut ice cream was the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal.
Our server, Sarah, was exceptional. Her friendly demeanor and attentiveness made us feel right at home. She even recommended the perfect to-go dish for our kids, the churros!

“I recently visited Tex Chicos Mex and had an incredible dining experience! I started with the dry rub wings, which were perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor—absolutely delicious.
Next, I tried the birria tacos, and they were nothing short of amazing. The tender, juicy meat paired with the rich, savory consommé made each bite unforgettable.
I also ordered a steak burrito, which was hearty, flavorful, and packed with perfectly cooked steak and fresh ingredients. It was generously portioned and so satisfying!
On top of the amazing food, our server, Allie, was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and made the entire experience even better. Her great service was the cherry on top of a fantastic meal.
Overall, we absolutely loved Tex Chicos Mex and will totally be back!“

“The most delicious Mexican food I've ever had! I had the steak fajitas which was cooked to perfection! Lots of peppers and onions and the steak is so juicy and flavorful! The chips are just how I like them, crispy but not too salty, and the guacamole is great! Truly the best Mexican food around, recommend it to anyone!“

“If you’re thinking of ordering a catering package, do it! We ordered the Fiesta Package and could not have been happier. Delicious meats, thoughtful taco toppings to make it a fun experience, and the Mac and cheese and chicken tenders were great. Everything was packaged beautifully as well with all the utensils needed. Very fair pricing too. Thank you!“

“Del Fuego has the BEST salsa sauce for chips. They provide their salsa and chips free!!! On one of my visits, Paige was just an awesome waitress!!! She knew the menu so she was easily able to make suggestions. She was super attentive and friendly and efficient. A real sweetheart. Unfortunately the salad lettuce was soggy but still the salad was tasty. The pulled pork burrito was good. Chips and salsa are always out of this world!!! Portions are great.“

“I've been to this Chili's a few times and it was always good, this time for some reason it was exceptional. Our server was a delight to deal with. “We come here often for lunch. The buffalo and Vanessa burritos are our favs plus the quesadillas are the best around and huge. This review is specifically about catering order I placed over the weekend. We made a very last minute order for a taco party pack and Avocados went out of their way to accommodate. The food was great and large portions as always.“

“This location wasn’t very busy, so service was quick, and decently friendly. Meal was tasty and enjoyable; very filling. “Shout out to Avocado’s of Bayport! I placed a very last minute catering order which they delivered within 1 1/2 hours! The food was delicious and their party package is a good deal. Thank you Nelson for accommodating us and for a crowd pleasing lunch. We will definitely be ordering from you again.“

“I did Texas Taco in Sayville and jad their food truck the summer prior to COVID hit and it was great! They pulled right up to house for a few hours, you can pick from different plan options and prices. If I remember correctly I think I picked an option that had up to 40 people even though I had 30 to be safe incase anyone else extra stopped by. We picked out some menu items with the owner ahead of time to be served. We set a time slot( thenowner came with truck like an hour early to prep food and get ready ahead if my start time and each guest was able to go back and forth to the truck as many times as they wanted within the few hours the truck was hired to be here. Great service( the owner and one other guy worked the truck the whole time they were here) everything made to order fresh and very good. Nothing but compliments from all my guests that day. I tipped at end and even tho I did a final tip some guests were so impressed a few threw them a few bucks during one of their many trips to the truck in my driveway that day too, even though i said I tipped they were so satisfied they wanted to top a few dollars too. It was deeelish!“
