“This place is a gem !
They’re open until 2 am so if you got the munchies and want some pupusas or tacos or a drink this is a good place to go or order out from. The pupusas are amazing and they got masa de arroz, which I personally like way more than maíz. If it’s just pupusas you can eat with like 10 bucks. The drinks do add up. Give them a try !“

“First time here - my daughter wanted tacos and I found this place on Google Maps. Clean and cute restaurant and all of the staff smiled and were very kind. Sadly my Spanish is not good but I was able to give my order and it was exactly what I had in mind. Steak tacos were good! The chips were also good and fresh. The guacamole was our favorite- delicious! Looking forward to coming back again!“

“Food is pretty good, but if you've ever eaten in Texas or further South, it doesn't compare. Tortillas were amazing, though. It's so hard to buy tex-mex flour tortillas here, so it's nice to find someone who sells them! In terms of atmosphere the Restaurant was crowded, dimly lit, and loud, which felt fairly authentic but may overwhelm some.“

“I loved the modern place, open if you want outside or inside, there are two environments or rooms, there is no happy hour, it is not very economical, the divine drinks even the virgin versions are divine, the service is very good, the shrimp meat nachos are also divine, the salads, I liked everything 👍“

“Caliente cab was a birthday outing for me and it was amazing. They waited until my final guest came to take orders. The food came out quickly, hot and delicious. Every time extra thing we asked for came without hesitations. They checked on us without being overbearing. I was surprised with a free bday dessert that was also delicious. Drinks were strong and great size for the price. Music could've been better but we were so busy eating and talking no one paid much attention. Overall 10/10! Great spot food drinks and service.“

“The food was fresh, but it didn't wow me, and it's not inexpensive. Service was quick, and the waiters were very friendly. The backyard patio is nice, and the interior has a nice "tex-mex vibe" that's atypical in NYC.“

“It's a nice chill spot for a couple or group of friends. The food is really good and it comes to your table quickly. The people are very nice. They also have take out..there is street parking and a rest room. Wheel chairs are ok since it's on the street level. With no ramp. And small outdoor dining space
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes a wheelchair can get into the place. It's ground level, no steps. They can dine-in or take out.“

“Food was fine. We sat at the bar, and the service could have been better. They got my entire dinner order wrong, and then forgot to ring in one of our desserts. Not a great experience, but it did look like they were a little busier than usual.“

“I come here almost once a week at this point. I highly recommend the burrito, I typically get the carne asada. The beans are fantastic and you can really taste the grill on the steak. All the ratios are perfect in every bite, it never fails to hit. The quesadillas are also very good. Every order comes with chips and salsa which is amazing. 10/10 I’ll see you guys next week (maybe this week again too, we’ll see).“

“This is one of our favorite places to PLAY MUSIC in the city, and we love it so much... we go there on our off nights, too, just to hang out. There's always a friendly scene and the food, drink, and atmosphere are unbeatable. Top 1 place in NYC.“

“We came here on the recommendation of a friend and even with her glowing review, we were still blown away! Every dish was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were a steal. Our family had the truffle quesadillas, the carne asada tacos, and the langosta tacos. We shared an order of guac and the kids had the flan and churros for dessert. Great dinner; we can't wait to return!“

“Really nice spot for friends or families to gather for delicious meals with ok drinks. I and my husband went there for a date. We really enjoyed our meal, atmosphere and music. What I did not like was the location of the bathroom and the waiters showing up every few minutes to offer us water, refill the water, or asking if everything was ok other than that I will continue going back there to eat and enjoy the music. I highly recommend this place without hesitation to go out with family, your girls, your buddies, or by yourself . There is amply seating inside and outside. There is no parking lot, only street parking, public transportation is 1 block away which is the 67 and ( 41 bus ( both the limited and local bus stops there) then you have the B and Q trains, there are Dollar vans that cost $2.00 you can take from downtown on livingstone st If you use a wheelchair you will be accompanied. Ok, so now go eat , drink, and be merry.
Vegetarian options: Trust me, you will not be hungry there.?
Parking: Parking on the street, depending on the time or where you park, pay attention to the Meter.
Wheelchair accessibility: You will be accommodated.“

“We had a traditional margarita and it was AMAZING. Special mention to the house's spicy tequila with ranchero chili, very rich in flavor. Melissa's attention was very kind, helpful and pleasant. We will definitely return to try the food. Thanks Melissa.“
“Parked on 19th Street from Mon–Fri, and on Governors Island at the weekends, this Mexican-food food truck serves up tasty tacos and such. I loved the cecina (salted beef) taco with its tender, flavourful slices of meat, chopped cilantro & onion, and avocado crema. The chicken taco was well-seasoned and tender, too. Two tacos was a perfect lunch. The empanadas are of the fried, short-pastry-style, and pretty large.Kind staff who know how to deal patiently with indecisive tourists, too :)“

“Great local takeout spot for tex mex food. Filling, good taste, inexpensive and friendly people. The enchiladas, chimichangas and combo dish are my go to. Also really like the chorizo taco and black bean taco, black and pinto beans with rice.Even the American food is pretty good, especially if youre trying to decide what to order with a picky eater: burgers, onion rings, chicken or steak sandwiches.Try the fried apple sticks..“

“I love this place! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Brett the server is the best!! He it's attentive, patient, kind, fast with taking and bringing the orders and he checks to see if the order is satisfactory and if anything else is needed. I appreciate this kind of service especially after a hard day at work. Also, my friends and family members have expressed great gratitude for being treated so well. The food prices can't be beat, the quality and quantity is great, well worth every penny. The friendly and happy atmosphere is very welcoming and enjoyable. I feel at home here. I highly recommend Chevy's in Clifton to everyone I know. Thank you so much for all the hard work and dedication to providing excellent customer service and delicious food!! Love it.“

“As a native Texan, I can confirm the kolaches are close to authentic. The portions of meat are a fraction of what you would get at Praseks or any other country bakery (the reason for 4/5 stars). The sweet kolaches are where I would say they do best, and they typically have unique flavors you wouldn't find at any run of the mill bakery in Texas. The bread is prepared PERFECTLY. All in all they're good enough to give me something close to what I would have to travel home to get“

“I love Calexico! I come here regularly with friends and family and am never disappointed. I recommend the barbacoa quesadilla (the caramelized onions are excellent) and any of the burrito bowls. Calexico's food AND drinks are good, which I appreciate. Any of their frozen margs are wonderful. The paloma is delicious as well. The service is consistent and kind. The outdoor seating on the sidewalk is a little crowded but that's not their fault, it's just the location. Inside is lovely.“

“Fantastic frozen margaritas and piña coladas. The food is pretty good too, especially the fried stuff like the chimichangas and the Taco Salad that comes in a deep fried bowl. The entrees are served with generous sides too so a dish is enough to feed a 6'5" 220lb man-walrus.“

“Been coming here for years and the food is always amazing. The tortillas and crispy taco shells are definitely made in house and are soo good. Nothing like the many similar tex-mex options we have in nyc. The steak is top notch. Owners are always kind and service is super quick. I'd gatekeep but they deserve the best. 10/10“

“We ordered carnita tacos and the presentation was very good, although the meat was a little too salty, you could eat it, the atmosphere is like a bar where you can go to talk with friends but it is also familiar. In conclusion it is nothing wow but it is not the worst either so you can pass on the customer service is good.“
