My first visit was last year and yesterday we decided to go again since indoor dining was reopening. We were a group of three, friendly staff and our host went above and beyond at a point that coffee was not in the menu and he made it for us.

OMG! My 👍 'go to' fave place. I think everyone in my 'circle' of friends and family has been dragged there by me. I started in 1997 when I moved to Brooklyn, and have been going ever since...20 years. I even had a 'major' birthday there. Went to Lobo last Friday and had a great time. Food was really good, margaritas were tasty and service was solid. It’s cash only too so bring your cash, there’s also an ATM. I went with one of the combo plates, The Wolf, which had a few enchiladas smothered in queso, rice and beans, and a beef taco with a hard shell on the side. We also got the guac and chips. Wife got a cheese quesadilla and my daughter went with the grilled chicken taco. Will definitely be back.

Lobo offers a variety of delicious Mexican dishes, with some willing to accommodate special requests. The food is fresh, though some customers feel it doesn't wow them, and it is not inexpensive. However, the service can be quick, and the waiters are very friendly, with customers noting the attentiveness of staff like Diana. The backyard patio is nice, and the interior has a "tex-mex vibe" that is atypical in NYC. The restaurant is large, featuring a nice bar on the first level and upstairs seating that is kid-friendly for groups, as well as a chill outdoor dining area. The atmosphere is inviting and family-friendly. The food is delicious, and the drinks, including the highly praised hibiscus margarita and the Sangre Do Lobo, are strong and also delicious. Customers have enjoyed the Cactus Salad, Mole Chicken Enchiladas, and Jalapeno Cheesy Steak Enchiladas. For dessert, the Churros with Chocolate Ice Cream and Tres Leches Filling are a fantastic way to end the meal. The Bean and Cheese Chalupas is a great vegetarian option for those who are super hungry. It is noted that Lobo is cash or Venmo only.
