Bookmakers Restaurant and Lounge offers a clean and cozy atmosphere with bright and comfortable seating. The bar area is inviting with friendly bartenders and delicious cocktails. The menu includes flavorful dishes such as Cajun potato soup, French dip sandwich, club wrap, loaded breakfast tacos, Reuben chowder, Irish poutine, chicken Bruschetta, and churro sundaes. The staff provides excellent service, with helpful hosts and attentive servers. Customers appreciate the generous portions and nicely plated dishes, though some found the food quality to be inconsistent at times. The Irish Onion Soup was noted as thin and lacking richness, while the Haddock Au Gratin was warm and delicious. The restaurant is popular during events like restaurant week, offering a $35 3-course meal with vegetarian options. Visitors enjoy the friendly atmosphere, good service, and tasty food, making it a place worth returning to. The bar features a talented bartender known for being funny and informative, and the restaurant often hosts lively conversations and laughs. Parking is free and convenient, and the establishment encourages supporting local eateries to keep the community thriving. Overall, Bookmakers provides a welcoming dining experience with great food, friendly staff, and a cozy environment.
