“Ran some errands in Saugerties with my wife and dog. Stopped here for some ice cream. The afternoon snack was good, service was good. They even gave me a free bowl of vanilla soft serve topped with a dog biscuit for our pup, he loved it. Service was very good and friendly.“

“If you don't know you need to. A perfect smash burger made with highest quality meats from The Meat Wagon of Kingston, fries par excellence any Belgian would approve of. Killer vegan and gluten free choices and the best soft serve in Ulster County at prices an hourly wage earner can afford. Kevin and his staff are super friendly. This will always be the taste of summer to me. The one and only Original Mickey's Igloo Kingston!“

“This place is one of the last of its kind. An ice cream shop that serves good portions at a reasonable price. The staff are all very friendly, and there are also great looking ice cream cakes and other confectionaries. This place is cash only, but the prices are so reasonable that this is hardly a problem.“

“EXCELLENT ice cream!!! And such amazing flavours!!!
My friend and I had the labne sour, rosemerry caramel, halva honeycomb, and chocolate orange – ALL WERE HEAVENLY. I also packed a pint to take back with me to New York City and they packaged it in a cool bag with ice. Super relieved that it survived the journey home!“

“Gluten free soft serve heaven! We grabbed a vanilla, a peanut butter chocolate, and a mint soft serve! The texture was silky, flavors were balanced, and they were served at the perfect temperature! Gluten free cones ARE available.
The woman who served us was immediate and confident in sharing what on the menu was gluten free. Tables out back were shaded and clean. Prices and portions were great. Can't wait to try the orange creamsicle next time ?“
“We often go to Valley Harvest when we don't feel like cooking. Great salads and decent sandwiches - the hot dog is good too. The best thing about this place is the ice cream. Micro batches of really unique flavors. A word of caution - it does take a while for the food - lots of locals call ahead for orders or do take-out. Otherwise it's a favorite!“

“My friends and I have been coming here since 2019, and needless to say we keep coming back. Price is unbeatable when you want a nice softserve ice cream and you can't be the riverside view and relaxation. Highly recommend going at least once if you haven't. ?“

“We were going through the area on our way to Montreal biking the Empire State Trail and needed to fill up on carbs.
The 100+ cows ? next to the store made us stop and say “Let’s help these local farmers instead some fast food places further down the road!
Ordered their salad ? with grilled chicken and a lavender, blueberry & honey milkshake.
OMG ? what a beautiful culinary experience for less than $20
It was the best food I’ve had in the US for the past year and you don’t have to watch TV to know that fast food nation isn’t really famous for being good at healthy eating!
From Manhattan up there had been nothing but fast food, crappy pizza joints and Chinese you pay as you go tasteless cuisine.
So to be served by two young adults who knew every menu item as if they had invented the recipe and then eat in peace with a stunning view over the farm you could not be more proud of yourself for biking along this road and treat yourself for this delicious meal.
Folks, get out of your TV dinner coach and savour what America is about: farmers working hard to get a healthy meal on the table!
Note: electric bikes are also welcome if you need to get your cardio in shape and start slow

“Alleyway ice cream is truly a whole in the wall hidden gem . My wife and I discovered it today while wandering Saugerties . The ice cream is out this world and they have beautiful patio sitting area for you to enjoy your ice cream .“
