“Alleyway ice cream is truly a whole in the wall hidden gem . My wife and I discovered it today while wandering Saugerties . The ice cream is out this world and they have beautiful patio sitting area for you to enjoy your ice cream .“

“Some of the best ice cream ive ever had.
The peach one tasted like fresh peaches and was so so delicious.
The basil blackberry crumble was intriguing and addicting, it had a strong basil flavor and salty crumble with just a little sweetness from the blackberry.
The building is super cute with indoor and outdoor seating. Would love to come back and try more flavors, maybe topped with olive oil this time“

“If you don't know you need to. A perfect smash burger made with highest quality meats from The Meat Wagon of Kingston, fries par excellence any Belgian would approve of. Killer vegan and gluten free choices and the best soft serve in Ulster County at prices an hourly wage earner can afford. Kevin and his staff are super friendly. “Ran some errands in Saugerties with my wife and dog. Stopped here for some ice cream. The afternoon snack was good, service was good. They even gave me a free bowl of vanilla soft serve topped with a dog biscuit for our pup, he loved it. Service was very good and friendly.“

“Gluten free soft serve heaven! We grabbed a vanilla, a peanut butter chocolate, and a mint soft serve! The texture was silky, flavors were balanced, and they were served at the perfect temperature! Gluten free cones ARE available.
The woman who served us was immediate and confident in sharing what on the menu was gluten free. Tables out back were shaded and clean. Prices and portions were great. Can't wait to try the orange creamsicle next time ?“

“Ate here Oct. 6. Never been here before and I wish I did. Probably the cheapest prices for ice cream/sundaes I've seen in the HV region.
I got a medium sundae with cherry soft serve and it was very good.
Cashier and workers are friendly and fast.
Definitely will come back“
“We often go to Valley Harvest when we don't feel like cooking. Great salads and decent sandwiches - the hot dog is good too. The best thing about this place is the ice cream. Micro batches of really unique flavors. A word of caution - it does take a while for the food - lots of locals call ahead for orders or do take-out. Otherwise it's a favorite!“

“We were going through the area on our way to Montreal biking the Empire State Trail and needed to fill up on carbs.
The 100+ cows ? next to the store made us stop and say “Let’s help these local farmers instead some fast food places further down the road!
Ordered their salad ? with grilled chicken and a lavender, blueberry & honey milkshake.
OMG ? what a beautiful culinary experience for less than $20
It was the best food I’ve had in the US for the past year and you don’t have to watch TV to know that fast food nation isn’t really famous for being good at healthy eating!
From Manhattan up there had been nothing but fast food, crappy pizza joints and Chinese you pay as you go tasteless cuisine.
So to be served by two young adults who knew every menu item as if they had invented the recipe and then eat in peace with a stunning view over the farm you could not be more proud of yourself for biking along this road and treat yourself for this delicious meal.
Folks, get out of your TV dinner coach and savour what America is about: farmers working hard to get a healthy meal on the table!
Note: electric bikes are also welcome if you need to get your cardio in shape and start slow

“Stopped in for an ice cream cake. Very limited selection as most were already pre ordered with names on them. Young woman did a nice job squeezing the writing on top we requested. Cake was yummy. Best advice is to order days ahead so you get the size and flavor you want. Also got a milkshake while I wad there. Thick and delicious!“
“We stop in at Gary's Dairy and Deli every time after we deliver trucks to NYS DOT in Poughkeepsie.
They make a huge sandwich the way we want them. They have a great variety of sandwiches on their board. The prices I think are reasonable for the size and quality of sandwiches. They carry other items such as beer, soda, chips etc that a small store may carry.
They do not accept credit cards but do have an ATM on site inside.
They do not have any seating inside and have only one picnic table outside. Also there are no public bathrooms.
I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a quality sandwich that will fill them up.
They also do sub rolls and hamburgers or egg sandwiches.“

“This place is one of the last of its kind. An ice cream shop that serves good portions at a reasonable price. The staff are all very friendly, and there are also great looking ice cream cakes and other confectionaries. This place is cash only, but the prices are so reasonable that this is hardly a problem.“
