“We used to go to the Bench, for 25yrs. The owners there made us seem like an inconvenience. The ppl at Burgerology were HAPPY to have us! We go every yr. There are @ 40 of us. One of our surgeons kindly hosts everyone. (He is the BEST! Shout out doc of youre reading) My only complaint is the MUSIC! It was horrible. It was dance music. You have a bunch of ortho surgeons, and Radiology ppl. NONE of them dance. READ THE ROOM GUYS! I would have give the atmosphere 4 stars. Except for the music. All in all it was a great nite! “Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Tap Room (Patchogue) (specifically the Patchogue location). We were invited to a family party, buffet-style. I reached out to the restaurant via email, because I wanted to make sure they could accommodate my daughters food allergies -- eggs, soy, sunflower seeds, tree nuts and peanuts, or I would plan ahead and pack snacks she could safely eat instead. The Culinary Director, Joseph Walsh, called me the next day. He spoke to me for awhile, went over her food allergies, made some suggestions, and assured me that he would come up with something she could safely eat. The morning of the party, he sent me an email to confirm we were coming and his suggestions for a safe meal (rice and beans sauteed with bell peppers, chicken cutlet w/ no egg, and a mixed fruit salad). I emailed him back that just rice and beans and the fruit salad would be fine, because she doesn't eat chicken. He emailed me back, concerned that rice and beans and a fruit salad wouldn't be enough, but I assured him it would be fine because she's only 7 and has anxiety over trying new foods at restaurants (understandably), so sticking with rice and beans and fruit salad, which she's comfortable with, would be perfect. At the event, Joseph told my relative that he wanted to talk to us, and when we arrived, he came to introduce himself, told me that he was making sure everything was prepared separately and would be ready for her shortly. Absolutely fantastic service. We truly, truly appreciated all his care and effort, because that's sadly not the norm most of the time when we try to eat out. “Super cute retro diner themed. Enter from the back parking lot of main street (Behind of Meatball Place). I got the Crusha burger and wow. The bourbon bacon jam was fantastic paired with Truffle Parm fries was an explosion of flavor. This is on the repeat list.“

“Great drinks and food! It is a bit loud but the food and service made up for it. Get the Chicken Taco appetizer - it is delicious. We had a couple of mules for drinks which were great and about $12 which is not too crazy. I had the Filet Mignon which was perfectly cooked and tasty!“

“I absolutely love this Cafe! The food is ALWAYS fresh and very hearty. Everything I have gotten so far has been absolutely delicious. This is my go to place for lunch during the work week because they are very health conscience and reasonably priced. I particularly like ordering online where I can add or delete any of the ingredients to my liking. They have a huge selection of food so there is something for everyone. They have a Breakfast and Lunch menu that includes Omelets and platters of all kinds for breakfast, burgers, salads, wraps, paninis, soups, quesadillas, regular & fish tacos and vegetarian wraps and much more. You can even eat your lunch on an outside patio area. 10 out of 10.“

“I did a take out order at the East Islip location. The food was good but the super melts do not seem to have much meat on them like they use to. If the prices are going up with less portions that’s going to be a problem for Friendly’s. I would hate to see them go out of business because I love Friendlys too!!“

He reviewed our entire order before walking away, our food was delicious and came quickly. He checked on us several times and a very pleasant attitude. “My family and I visited on Sunday, November 16, 2025, and had Gianna as our server. She greeted us with a smile and gave us time to decide what we wanted to order. She made appetizer recommendations, and we went with the loaded fries.

The main meal arrived HOT; maybe I should have waited just a minute to sample my skillet meal! Gianna was always available for us and made sure that our glasses were never empty. She is a valuable asset to Applebee's East Islip.

“Ive always love checkers since I was a kid and this location has always been a favor for people around here. There's a large outdoor sitting area. That's nice for lunch during the summer. Every time I go here, no matter what time of day the staff is always extremely friendly and put out the food quick too. You also have to try the fries !“
