“We love going to Foster—at this point, you could say we’re regulars. We typically sit at the bar. We especially love their specials, and I’m still thinking about the elk burger I had last year (please bring it back!).The oysters are always fresh and delicious, and the fried chicken is absolutely amazing. Recently, I’ve been loving the salmon with corn and shishito succotash and blueberry teriyaki. Honestly, everything is consistently fresh and delicious.

John, the bartender, makes excellent cocktails—many with fun names like Silence of the Lambrusco. He puts a lot of care into his craft, from house-infused ingredients to thoughtful presentation. He also always keeps you hydrated with their house water, which I truly appreciate.

Happy hour is a great deal and is available at the bar only, Wednesday through Sunday from 5:00–7:00 pm, and all night on Mondays. We love ordering the wood-fired Margherita pizza and fried chicken wings for $12.36, along with their house margarita at $10.30—delicious and affordable.

When we do get a table, the service is always spot on.

“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.”

“By far one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to! Excellent service- food made to order. Chicken Scarpiello was so flavorful with a lot of garlic, herbs and a touch of lemon. Penne Ala Vodka one of the best I have ever tasted! Chicken Verde was so tender it melted in your mouth!!”

“Excellent coffee shop on Long Island, come for the caffeine and stay for the community. We stopped by my mom’s favorite coffee shop mid-afternoon, because the family was trying to kill me with caffeine deprivation. The oat milk latte was carefully made and smooth and easy to drink. The interior is great, for a brief moment in time you are anywhere in the World with roll up garage doors, fooseball and a clean setting for evening entertainment. I’ll be back next time I’m visiting!”

Our server suggested great wine pairings. Upscale quaint pub like setting - perfect restaurant in a perfect little town. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Yesterday I was rushing like normal, but I went to Dunkin’ Donuts to get an iced coffee and I accidentally left my wallet with all my money in it. I showed up the next day and before I could even ask for if they remembered exactly who I was and returned my wallet to me with everything in it. The employees are extremely honest and polite here. “Subway is always my safe place, and they seem to have made a recent sort of peace with their franchisees. The specials are honored and more places now even though they are less frequent.
I tell you, a good old Subway sandwich, it's like a hug from your grandma. It's just become a part of what I look forward to sometimes.

“Found this restaurant by accident on Friday and we love it! In fact, we went back Saturday for Churros and Sunday for dinner again. On Friday we had their Street Tacos and today we had their Tako Bowls! This may be a small place, but their flavors are not!! Amazing food and great portions! The entire staff from front and back of house are very friendly. So glad we found them and looking forward to going back! We HIGHLY recommend them!”

“This was one of the places my friend who moved to LA had to come back to during her visit.

They have the best rice cake and sausage (소떡소떡) I’ve had from a chicken shop. The rice cake is the perfect level of crispiness. The sausage is a normal Frankfurt sausage instead of the Korean ones but it’s still okay because their sauce is perfect. Even before eating the chicken, I can tell this is going to be amazing. They have great combo deals which are great for groups and they also give free Cajun fries (which are also good and fresh) a review! Definitely worth trying.”
