Great blend of french and Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Fun seasonal cocktails and a wonderful view. The hearth is stunning with rich smells coming from its embers and a warmth that reflects the staff and the hospitality. My favorite entree was the bone in ribeye and my favorite appetizer was the Caesar salad with house made croutons.

I don't understand the negative reviews of this wonderful place--terrific wood-cooked food, perfect service, nice people, including our server, Cheyenne. As good as many Michelin starred restaurants we’ve been to!

Went on Friday night to celebrate a birthday. Everything was amazing. We had most items on the menu. The starters we had were...Leek and garlic soup - so satisfying!Bread - the baker has perfected the bread. Truly delicious Grilled squid - who knew that squid needed paprika to elevate the taste. It was grilled just right. We added an extra order because it was so goodCaesar salad - how a caesar salad could taste so light and flavorful is beyond me Our mains were.....Strozzapreti - if you like spicy, this is for you. Deep, rich roasted tomato that's heavily spiced and filled with flavorPaccheri - I love maitake mushrooms but wasn't sure if I'd like it with squash. It was a perfect marriage of flavors and textures. If you want something that tastes seasonal, light (ish), with perfectly cooked pasta, this is for youDuck - I've had duck many times but this was so good. The blackberry mostarda with perfectly cooked duck was balanced, nuanced, and seasoned just rightChicken - I never like to order chicken out because I cook it all the time. I will make an exception every time for this dish. Make sure someone in your party orders it. You don't get opportunities to taste chicken like this very often. Steak - ordered medium rare and came medium rare. Like butter. If you're a steak lover, you won't be disappointed We ordered both sides and, for dessert chocolate cake, lemon tart, and affogato. All were spot on. We'll be back before the menu changes to try the few dishes we didn't get to. Service was great as well

Always a great meal. The restuarnt is inviting from the moment you walk in and see the smiling faces on the staff. Cocktails are nicely curated and exicuted, well thought out wine list and a waitstaff that know what they are serving. Our waiter was able to walk us through the entire menu without asking. The menu is tight and well thought out using exceptional ingredients cooked on a beautiful Wood Burning Hearth to compose a very delicious meal. Thank you for a great experience.

The food is delicious but extremely overpriced for what you are getting. The atmosphere is lovely and homie but the service really is terrible. We waited 20 minutes for someone to come to our table and it wasn’t until I reached out to the hostess that someone began to take our orders and pour us water.

This place is very stylish, in a Hamptons kind of way which almost makes it seem out of place on Shelter Island. I thought the food was decent, the cocktails better, and honestly, the decor was cool, but maybe a little much for my taste. I feel like they went all out on the inside, but the patio out back is basic and surrounded by parking. Overall, I'm not sure it was worth the price, but it was decent food with a classy ambiance - and with the limited selection on Shelter Island, that's pretty good.

Wow! Can I tell ya about alot of work with a fork and knife trying to eat that chicken.... do your self a favor any 5 year old can roast a whole chicken save the 500$ restaurant tab. Wine list was half corked. Sent bottles back.... locals were rude and dishonest. I tried to take leftovers for my dog. He even didn't eat it! Full of chemicals and spices to hide the undercooked chicken.

Four of us dining here for first time. Two roasted chickens returned due to undercooking, 2nd set could have been better, drink orders not accurate, requested to-go box for one of the chicken dinners but the chicken was thrown out! Rough night.
