We always have a wonderful time and meal at the Chequit. Last night Peter the restaurant manager stopped by to say hello which was appreciated. Of course, Daria the hostess is always 5 Stars 👍
Terrific 'hidden' gem on Shelter Island. Salads, apps and entrees were truly special. Congrats!!!

The Chequit Restaurant offers a pub-like atmosphere with a nice refresh and a busy and lively vibe. The menu features tasty dishes, including crunchy rice with tuna, delicious burgers, excellent miso cod, and delicious duck ravioli. Save room for dessert, as the peach tart and apple crisp are particularly impressive. Thursday’s happy hour and buck-a-shuck is the best on the island, featuring oysters, shrimp, and clams. While service can be slow, the staff is friendly and attentive, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. Guests should be aware that the black ceiling is pretty low.
