Spent a few nights In Southold, Montauk and shelter Island and the Shelter Island Seafood was the best meal I had during my entire visit!!! Everything was YUMMY! Highly recommend!
This place is awesome! Fresh fish, large portions, beer and wine selection, outdoor seating and take out...what more could you ask for?Jermaine and his staff are very dedicated, Friendly and efficient. Been coming to the island for 20+ years...a welcome addition!
Worth the stop!! Memorable lunch! Had a tuna poke bowl & hubby had oyster po- boy. Fresh and just what you're looking for on an island for lunch
What did I try here:Oyster po boy - was really great!Lobster mac &cheese (had it twice) - very goodScallop sliders - (would prefer if they would toast the bread) - goodShrimp boil - good and heartyStaff kind and so helpfulGood portions and all skillfully cooked.PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE! KEEP IT UP, QUALITY, SKILL, & PRESENTATIONNow my favorite place to eat on the island!!
After reading about new business owner, Jermaine Owens opening this lovely Fish market and restaurant during the pandemic we knew we would have to visit during our vacation. The ferry ride from Greenport harbor to Shelter Island is worth the trip. All of the seafood is caught and sold same day and the quality shows.I wish I had taken more photos of the display of seafood inside the market. As you can see there is plenty of outdoor space for dining. We went at an odd hour of the day, but the place really fills up at peak hours .We are sure Shelter Island Seafood will do well. They deliver fresh fish daily to locals, as well as serve and sell their bounty on site. These pandemic times are difficult, thus we try our best to support our local markets and restaurants as much as possible. Kudos to Shelter Island Seafood for filling a much needed niche during these challenging times. We will definitely return!
We’ve bought fresh local fish here, which is outstanding, and we’ve also had takeout food here which is also outstanding. They know how to cook seafood. I am so glad this place has opened up and we plan to support it year-round! Jermaine and his team know what they’re doing and it’s a clean, well run, delicious establishment. It’s currently BYOB, but I know they’re expecting their license soon.
The food here is fresh, tasty and a welcome diversity of seafood. Highly recommend the crab dip!! The poke bowl was a perfect portion! Lobster roll looked amazing as well. Friendly, efficient staff, clean and well run. Adorable seating outside picnic bench style outside
We love this place! Both the market and restaurant are phenomenal. The fish is extremely fresh and the meals are superb. Jermaine and team are so friendly and welcoming. One of our favorites on the island!
New fish store that has taken over Bob's space. At the moment only selling fresh fish. Have bought a few times and always very fresh and cut to order. They are working on restaurant space and plan to open August 1st. Based on their fish it should be good. Wish them well in this difficult season.
No Frills ... but you'll love the food and service. The crab legs are incredible. I have em just about everytime I go. Nelson
Went there twice, on our Shelter Island visit. First time was fabulous and outstanding service...no frills restaurant. Second visit not so good. WAY poor service. Apparently depends on wait staff?!?
I had a two pound lobster that was sweet and tasty, though hard to take apart. The French Fries were very good
