Wanted a classic NY cheesecake with graham cracker crust. Don't understand why none of the many bakeries on the island fail to make it this way. After doing some research I found that Mother Mousse was the only place that had it. The bakery on Hylan looked great, modern, and clean. The cakes and pies all at least looked fresh. Got home and cracked it open and was not super impressed. The cheesecake was heavy and dry which made me question its freshness.

Love their mousse cakes and Irish Soda Bread. When we travel off Staten Island, our hosts ask us to bring Mother Mousse to their place for dessert. Their Irish Soda Bread has great taste and does not fall apart like others. I can slice it thin and it does not break apart.
