The food is as expected, the atmosphere is uninviting, almost as if a gray cloud were sitting above this restaurant at all times. You may find yourself here (considering it is the only sonic on Staten Island), and if you do, just remember to be patient, as the service is RIDICULOUSLY slow. Not sure why this is, but it is 🫤

I get in my car and drive there for a shake once one a while only to hit their drive through to hear sorry the machine is broken. This happens so often that it’s far passed time they get a second machine to be used as a backup when this happens. Sick of this nonsense. I waste my time and gas money.
I left because atee not being able to order through the app i attempted to order, they said hold on and never got back to me so I left the restaurant.
Sonic Drive-In offers mixed experiences. The chili dog was too wet and limeade wasn't as expected. However, the service can be quite slow, with some staff members like Sof providing friendly and attentive service that makes a positive difference. Sof, in particular, made the experience special by being very sweet to a customer's pup, giving a pup cup. Recently, the restaurant has improved with a new team of workers who now run the place faster and smoother, making the service more efficient. The atmosphere remains uninviting, almost as if a gray cloud were sitting above this restaurant at all times. The food is generally as expected, and the shakes are very good. Kid-friendliness is available, but it's unclear if the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. Despite some setbacks, the service quality has improved thanks to the efforts of the staff.
