Excellent special occasion restaurant in a historic environment! The ambiance is cozy and romantic, the service is kind and attentive, and the food is seasonal and delicious. Upscale “farmhouse cooking” where every ingredient feels local and intentionally included. The menu changes frequently, so don’t expect the same thing each time. However, some of our favorites such as the trout rillettes and shishito peppers are available year round.

Having eaten at Butterfield quite a number of times it pains me a bit to say, but it seems like it has fallen off a bit.The interior of the Hasbrouck House remains beautiful, interesting, and thoughtfully decorated.
