“The BEST deli in Smithtown. Their food is incredible. Especially the German Potato Salad. You MUST TRY IT! It's the best potato salad I've ever eaten, super unique & unlike any potato salad I've had. I will continue to come back. I got the Italian hero and it was so delicious!! NOT ONLY is the food amazing but the staff are all so friendly and kind. Extremely personable and they made me feel so welcomed & appreciated. Tom is a stand up guy & so pleasant to speak to. “First time I tried here was today. Passed by dozens of times throughout the years and decided to give it a go. Got the turkey club hero with American and coleslaw. Both sandwich and coleslaw were great! A little pricey (what isn't these days!) but if it wasn't so delicious I could have gotten two meals out of it. The sandwich was huge. Wish I would've taken a photo. The guys behind the counter were super nice and the wait time was minimal. Definitely will be back to try different sandwiches and salads. Glad to finally have found an "old-school" deli that makes sandwiches and salads like I remember from my childhood.“

“If you’re a college athletic team, this is the place for you. A phenomenal place to work with. I called early in the morning, they told me here’s the cutoff time to put all our orders in. I had a few late orders and they took them no problem. I rattled all the orders off to Connie and they were made with no mistakes and labeled.Not only did they make our order with no mistakes, they even held our food to keep fresh/hot when our bus broke down. “Been coming here for a few years. However ordering fried food I'd be careful with if you don't want your French fries to taste like fish. They smell and taste like a fish sandwich. Aside from that love the place. Burger was good but apparently it seems like they fry everything in same fryer. Will eat burger but pickle with cheese and fries go strait to the garbage.“

“I am a former NY'er that came to visit family and do some college visits with my daughter. Stopped in to St. James Bagels on accident and I'm so glad I did. Had their breakfast bagel with eggs and bacon and it was absolutely delicious. Eggs were fluffy and the bacon was perfectly cooked. The people there are wonderful. In particular there was an older gentleman there (can't remember his name), who was so genuinely kind to me and my daughter and also very funny. My daughter absolutely loved the place, both the food and atmosphere. It is my go to place whenever I am back in NY to visit.“

“Never been here before but reviews were good. Ordered pickup, The salad case looked great. I asked for one of the prosciutto sandwiches and add eggplant cutlets. Which they obliged very nicely. I wish they had warmed the eggplant though because it was very cold. Also the ciabatta bread was very chewy and smelled a little musty, I checked for mold but didn't see anything, but the smell turned me off unfortunately. We've gotten pastries from here that were well received. Very clean and well presented establishment.“

My bf got an egg sandwich with sausage bacon & cheese. He said he enjoyed it. I tried the hot & ready food available at the buffet because I was pleasantly surprised that it was early 10am & a lot of options were readily available. I had a small rice, beans and beef stew. Delicious. Very pleasant breakfast. I wish I would have paused & read the menu a little longer. I would have ordered a torta, barría tacos or a quesadilla. “I've been getting my salads from Lake Deli for many years. I use to live in Medford now in Bohemia. It's over 45 minutes round trip but this is the only place that has the best salads I've tried other Delis. Just not the same. My sister loved them too whenever I went to Pennsylvania I had to bring 2 or more lbs.of potatoes“

The prices are reasonable and for that person below to complain about a $7 hero and bag of chips is ridiculous. This has got to be some type of competitor nearby talking smack about this restaurant. I don’t know if they are from out of town maybe they’re from the south where everything‘s cheap but $7 up here for a sub and a bag of chips is very inexpensive. I’ve already reported that review to be taken down. I have no affiliation with this business whatsoever. “The food was delicious! Ordered the White rice and Bistec (steak) in a tomato sauce with bell peppers, onions, and two tortillas made by hand. My family also had the chicken fajitas over rice and the East village sandwich. They both agreed their plates were good as well. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast on the way to Manhattan. The bacon was cooked perfectly, the cheese wasn't melted enough on my breakfast sandwich; but that's minor.
