We always end up at black label because the food is so good, the service is great the people are very friendly and the service is quick. If you’re in Hempstead or Westbury and looking for a good burger, good hotdog in a simple atmosphere black label is my first choice.“

I was worried that I would not find something to eat because I am trying to watch what I'm eating, but I had a amazing salad with salmon that I can't even explain how good it was -- - totally more than I expected! It was delicious and something I am going to go back for as a staple! The service was great and the manager stopped over to say hi and see how everything was going. Totally appreciate that. “Food was good. Empanadas were good. I usually prefer the flour crust because they are usually more crisp & thinner crust but these were good. I also bought the 2 meat yo-yo. That was really good. Alot of flavor. I also bought a tequeño guava and cheese (like a mozzarella stick with guava sauce in it). It was good. Would probably be a little better if the crust was a little thinner.“

Paul and Regina take exacting care in both process and product, so even a basic smashburger is made with love and attention, using organic ingredients whenever possible. Some of those ingredients grown in their own home garden, walking distance from the shop.
Paul specializes in pierogi (and beer!), offering a wide variety of flavors and types. Regina is the gardener, ensuring that the greens and veggies are the highest quality. No mexican lettuce here (with all due respect to Mexico). Yes the shop is small and quirky, but that's the point!
