“This place was great I tried it today and i had no complaints what so ever, I’ve read the reviews and honestly i think it’s the customers who last out on the resturant for not telling the resturant how they want it because the service here is amazing from the cooks down to the front desk workers, when i requested a specific order to be chosen to my liking they went through with it. “Ok update! After contacting corporate and 3 orders later our last 3 experiences have been very positive. The food has been tasty, good portions, rice cooked properly, we recently had meats and fajitas veggies - they were all done right! I'd definitely recommend giving this location another chance!!

Previous post: Lately this location is a mess. Last 4 orders were a mess. Tonight they gave us raw rice. Sending a message to health department since half raw rice isn't the best to ingest. They always run out of items when you're in the line ordering. The staff works hard and they're good. The management needs to be retrained or replaced. No excuse that the multiple goofs the last few orders point to manager failures“

“Very nice inviting decor. Service was just ok. The server was basic, didn’t tell us it was happy hour? Nor did she mention and food selections. For a new establishment I guess I was expecting a bit more … maybe ask if we had been there before? Check back to see how our food was( it was outstanding), we got more help from the water girl Had to ask to clear table. Had to ask for check from the water girl? The server had much support. Seems she took our order and disappeared. But the server assistants were on point. Dinner was really good. We will go back… because of the food. Even the manager walked pasted us a dozen times. There were 6 tables.. perfect time for manager to mingle… just saying. Place is very nice, great menu too. Just left feeling ignored. Nice music too. Maybe the server was having a bad day? “First time dining here and overall a really solid experience. The food was enjoyable — the lemon orzo soup was comforting, the lamb gyro taco had great flavor, and the chicken kebab skewers was cooked well. Drinks were a standout, especially the dirty raspberry martini, which was excellent.

The vibe is casual and relaxed. There were a couple small service hiccups, but nothing that took away from the meal. Overall, we enjoyed it and would definitely come back again.“

“We are finally glad to have found a great Mexican spot in Huntington! We started with the tableside guacamole, which was a definite highlight. For drinks, we ordered a bottle of La Crema Pinot Noir; since we're particular about serving temperatures for light reds, we appreciated the staff finding us an ice bucket. The tequila selection also looked impressive. For the mains, the quesabirria tacos were good, and while the shrimp adobo tacos were just okay, the authentic tortilla style was excellent (though mine arrived a bit cold). The rice and beans were delicious, and the kids' meals were tasty and well-portioned. We finished with churros—the chocolate sauce was authentically Mexican, though the churros themselves were a bit soggy and lacked that signature crunch. The bar was packed, but it's a family-friendly atmosphere. We were glad we went early and made a reservation, as this place is clearly becoming popular. We'll definitely be back!“

“I’ve been ordering from Orale for months now, but as soon as I crack open the container, the food hypnotizes me and makes me forget to take a picture. Every dang time. Not sure how I broke the spell this time, but let me tell you, still amazing.

I live on Long Island, so in my opinion, our average Mexican food is terrible. It’s either because too fancy and expensive trying to be more than it needs to, or it’s gone commercialized that’s overpriced and inconsistent quality-wise (looking at you tacombi). In steps Orale. Food is always amazing, fresh, consistent. Best chicken quesadilla I’ve had anywhere, hands down. Their carnitas burrito is also so savory and indulgent. My wife can never finish it in one serving.

Bonus: their red and green homemade sauces are so special. Really incredible balance of heat and flavor. I never have enough of it. I’m considering applying to an unpaid internship there just to learn how to make it myself. Or maybe I can get paid in sauce. Still working through the details here.

Double bonus: their staff is personable and attentive. Feels more like getting food from a friend.

Triple bonus: I walked in one time to get a pickup order and there was a 70th birthday party there and everyone was drinking tequila. Atmosphere was electric. Fired me up. I will now plan my next birthday there.“

The tamale was perfectly moist and savory, and the taco Pescadero was fresh and perfectly seasoned. We also devoured the steak quesadilla, which was cheesy and full of tender steak. They treat you with respect and dignity. When you order triple chicken, they give you triple. They do not scrimp.

This is the only Mexican chain restaurant that I will go to. The other one's portions are disrespectfully small.

“Literally the greatest food I’ve ever eaten, ever. Full stop. I’ve been a loyal customer since high school, and through college, living overseas and living out of state, Gold Mine is a must visit whenever I’m in town. If I were about to be executed, my last meal would be: Cajun chicken quesadilla, chips with melted cheddar, lemon chip sauce, and Dave’s pico de gallo. A little guac and sour cream on the side but honestly the pico and lemon chip are more important. The food is SO good that guac is an afterthought. Usually guac is the first thing people consider when having Mexican. My biggest fear is that Dave will retire. I wish he’d write a cookbook. My only “complaint,” if you can call it that, is that it’s primarily a takeout joint, although there are tables and you’re totally welcome to sit there and eat. I’m a sucker for ambience and I’d happily pay top dollar for waitstaff and charm out the wazoo so I can sit there with friends and have a full dining experience. Regardless, none of this changes the fact that it’s the best food in the galaxy.“

“The food is good. As long as you go before 5pm, you can get a 9.99 burrito meal which includes a drink. That price does not include shrimp or steak, or queso. The burritos are huge so it could feed two people of a smaller appetite. The quality of ingredients are also good. Great alternative to Chipotle.“
