I usually get the Mazza, choice of 4 items. The babaganush and the falafels are my favorites. I also love their spanakopita. Food is authentic and home cooked by the owners. More seating and more upscale than James St location. But Goodies 1 is cozy and friendly. We went here due to the reviews. CASH ONLY!! I had the beef and lamb gyro dinner. Great salad with nice Greek dressing. Meat was very flavorful, and tzatziki sauce was great. Highly recommend!
I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and authentic flavor of the lamb gyro. Nothing here comes out of a can as the owner says. Very friendly and threw in a gratis cashew baklava finger. Out of this world. Decor is unpretentious. Clean restroom. Highly recommend. Cash only. ATM on premises. The best grape leaves in Syracuse! If you like Greek food you MUST patronize this intimate restaurant. It may be a bit out of your way, it BUT it is worth a trip to your GPS to find it! (It was actually only 5 minutes from our hotel!) We ate several entrees and could find no fault with anything. The prices were low end but the food was high end... the perfect combination. Definitely do not miss the desserts and Turkish coffee... AMAZING!
