“Great mexican restaurant, dinner for four last night and everyone was raving!!“

“Got the tacos de carnitas (pork), chorizo (ground pork), and bistec (steak). All delicious but my favorite has to be the carnitas, and this is mostly because the owners wife makes the pork from pork shoulder and she's Dominican so she makes it as pernil which I grew up eating and it's my favorite rendition of pork. So it's fair to say that I've been here like 3 times in the past month and a half after finding this spot ? but it's bc in all honesty these are some of the best tacos in the area (Elmont/valley stream) and especially the best carnitas (pork) tacos in the area. We can try and compare other spots, but I promise you it's just your pride lol if we are talking Elmont this is the spot. Very authentic and the portions are crazy, I can throw down but I'm good with 4-5 tacos. Tbh once you go into 5-6 you're gonna be in the food baby territory of fullness, just get a Jarrito for the bevy and you'll be golden beloved.“

“Whenever I want some delicious food, I have to stop in here!!! Their chicharrones, beans, white rice with sweet plantains with some delicious pernil and a jarrito, are amazing! The girls are really sweet too.

“One of my favorite place to grab lunch during lunch break. Usually like their burrito bowl. Like the food but front cashiers behavior is not nice. All the time they make faces as if they are tired and not at all welcoming.

“Very delicious food. I work in East New York, and I saw many truck drivers, workers stopping at lunchtime. I went to the restaurant, the vibe is so cool, and the tacos I ordered had different and good flavors. Fresh food, tasty, and good customer service.“

“Quick eats spot that I think is underrated. Amount of food is reasonable for the price and not to mention delicious. I ordered takeout but there are about 3 tables in the restaurant for dine-in. Also, it’s a mom and pop shop and their daughter works the register. They’re super respectful and sweet. You should definitely go support them and try their yummy food!“

“This family run restaurant serves super duper tasty, authentic Mexican cuisine. I loved the Mulita pastor. Everything is high quality right down to the limes. They even make their own hot sauces! “One thing I miss about living in Long Island are the Tex-Mex restaurants. Yes, they're not of the highest quality, and usually they're in a cheap location, and the horrible customer service is always a given, but I do enjoy the food every once in a while.

After searching for a Tex-Mex restaurant, I stumbled across Taco King. This location is actually pretty big with plenty of sitting space. My usual go-to dish at a Tex-Mex place is the Grilled Steak rice platter, so I decided to stick with what I like. I thought the steak here was excellent. It came with one flour tortilla, rice, beans, salad, guac, and chili. The quality and proportion was better than what I expected.

However, it was crazy expensive. I know I sound old, but I remember that only a few years ago, the same dish was about $8 or $9. Now it's over $17! I would gladly eat here more often if the price was cheaper.“

“Not too long ago I came here and ordered the molcajete, and it honestly blew me away. It came out sizzling hot, packed with steak, chicken, shrimp, and cactus in this smoky, flavorful sauce. Every bite was delicious, rich, tender, and perfectly seasoned.

You can tell the food’s made with care and love. The staff was friendly, the vibe was relaxed. I’m still thinking about that molcajete. definitely something I’ll be coming back for.“

“I love coming here. Great juices! Love it very much! ImThey have passion fruit juice, pineapple juice, coconut juice, horchata, and cantaloupe/melon juice etc.! 💕 It is delicious! My friend orders the Mexican hotdog and loves it. It comes with ketchup, mustard, mayo, pickles, onions, tomatoes. He said it is very good! My other friend orders the “ Tacos dorados” with chicken and they come with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and sour cream on top. My friend says these are very good too. Maybe could use more flavor he says but still they are very good! Photos are attached! They have a good Mexican steak torta which is a steak sandwich that comes with Mexican cheese, beans, guacamole, a sauce, lettuce, tomato, it is very good and I like it!!! The yellow lemonade in the photos with the steak torta is not from them. I also love their brown juice which is “tamarindo / tamarind” !!! Their other juices are very good as well !!!! 😋“

Good Mexican rice has a rough fluffy texture and a savory taste. The yellow rice they use here is slick and bland, like the kind of rice you get in a microwaveable bag. This is unfortunate because the rice makes up a good part of the burrito. I found myself emptying out as much rice out as I could.

Next time, I’ll pass on the rice.“
