So sad.. Excellent food great views on the river hopefully they'll rebuild. This great restaurant had a fire major damage hopefully they will rebuild for 2021 season. News reported that it was appliance malfunction.
For a random restaurant in the Lake George region, this place has really, really good food. My wife and I went here on a date night. She got the evening's special, which was two petite filet mignons. I got the peppered venison, plus two drinks: a whiskey and cider spritzer and a dessert drink called the "Three Queens" (kahlua and two other similar liqueurs which I can't remember). Love everything about the Grist Mill! There's history, there's a view, the drinks and food are great, service is attentive, and the prices are fair for such amazing ambience. I love the historical pieces all over the restaurant and the view of the Schroon River is beautiful!
