“we loved our stay. The views were beautiful and so relaxing. The food was delicious, and we loved that you could order at the Cabana bar as well as in the restaurant. We were not disappointed with anything we ordered. Best risotto I've ever had. Our bartender was very attentive, friendly and made great drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting lakeside in the evening relaxing with drinks. All staff were friendly, very helpful and hard working. We truly appreciate their hard work, and it didn't go unnoticed. The beach was clean and so family friendly. We just enjoyed sitting in the chairs, which were in the water and observing the breathtaking views. We were walking distance to the wonderful Lake George village. Our room was comfortable, clean and great AC. The fire pits at night were a great addition. our stay was very relaxing and we had a great time.“

“We tried The Gem tonight and we were not disappointed. Friendly service from start to finish. We chose wings as our appetizer and two draft beers! The wings were crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. For our main course, we selected the smoked brisket with potato salad and baked beans as our sides. This was by far the best smoked brisket we have had. We ended the meal with the sticky toffee pudding and vanilla ice cream 😍. Head to The Gem for a great meal!“

“Went here the first weekend of October. Went around 4p on a Sunday so it was not so busy. Had a wonderful view overlooking the south side of Lake George as the sun settled for the evening.
Basic food items, but very tasty. Fast service, friendly and kind staff.
I had the buffalo chicken wrap with a side Caesar salad and it was perfect.
My mother ordered the 1755 burger and it was cooked to perfection. The onion rings were probably the best onion rings I’ve ever had!! The burger comes with burger sauce that my mother asked for on the side and became a great dipping sauce for the rings.
The po boy sandwich is served circular like a burger, on bun. My partner didn’t realize that until it came to the table despite what the menu said (and it clearly said that). Despite his frustration with himself, he turned out to love it!! You got a bite of shrimp in every bite unlike traditional po boy sandwiches.
Not featured in the photos was chips salsa and guacamole as an appetizer. The guac was fresh and seasoned quite well.
Would come back here as prices were reasonable and the food was good.“

The GRAND breakfast options were literally ~$15, which was a surprise because - honestly - just based on the location and ambiance - I thought it was going to be much steeper.

Services was on par, and the manager on duty even accommodated a special request next day 30 minutes earlier than their regular time because of our travel plan;

“We were to meet my son & family in Lake George to celebrate their anniversary Sat 6/24/23. He told us to meet them a the East Cove Restaurant at 5:30pm. They're not there, we go to the bar as we have in the past. Get a drink & ask about the reservation - there is none. We get a phone msg, they told us the told us the wrong restaurant, errrr!. They're at George's which is only 100 yds up the road. "You're killin' me Smalls." After that hiccup everything at George's was excellent. This is a prime rib, steak, & seafood restaurant. Our waitperson, Richard T was pleasant, helpful, & efficient. Two Fiddlehead IPA ($8ea) and two Banfi pinot grigios ($11ea) during our meal. My bride had broiled haddock w/ a side of cauliflower ($28+$4) which was almost double the portion generally served in restaurants. I had the pork shank osso bucco w/ mashed potatoes ($31) and their very popular salad bar. A large & tender shank w/ a very good demi-glace. Very nice offering excellently prepared & served. "Our steaks and ribs are hand cut and house seasoned Entrees Include choice of salad bar or soup du jour / clam chowder and choice of starch" - George's. Also had the stuffed mushroom appetizer ($12) and a basket of garlic bread w/ pesto (chef's compliment). Also two petit prime rib dinners ($35ea) & a very large "Kids" spaghetti & meatballs ($15) George's offers excellent food & service. Note: And not just b/c my son is friends with the chef, Nick DeJesus. A great dinner as we have come to expect from the staff at George's. Open Thu-Mon 4-9pm. plenty of parking. “Favorite place to see a band. Amazing crowd. The food is great. They have the best fried pickles. The fries are great and they have a dill pickle chicken sandwich which is delicious. Their gluten free buns are excellent. They're not crumbly like drywall. Drinks are made right. It's always a good time.“
