“My companion and I had dinner at Placid Pines earlier this week. I ordered the Reuben Grill sandwich and he had the Open-Faced Hot Roast Beef sandwich. Both were excellent. The corned beef in my Reuben was very lean and delicious, as was his roast beef. We both had the pumpkin crunch cheesecake for dessert, which was also very good. For a small pub like Placid Pines to serve such delicious food is a testament to their chef and kitchen staff.“

“We love the Caldwell House ~ it’s our go to for all special occasions. We came tonight and were so sad to find out they quit serving their famous cheese and crackers. That was our absolute favorite thing about coming here.“

“The first thing you notice about Bambaz is how cozy the restaurant is. There are about 3-4 long tables inside and 2 small tables outside for couples. They also do take out I believe. It has a nice atmosphere and is very inviting. The menu is great. The service was top notch. If you are lucky, you might get an up close show with Brandon. He is one of the employees. He plays guitar quite well. It was a pleasure to watch him perform. Great vibes and food. AA+++“

“we loved our stay. The views were beautiful and so relaxing. The food was delicious, and we loved that you could order at the Cabana bar as well as in the restaurant. We were not disappointed with anything we ordered. Best risotto I've ever had. Our bartender was very attentive, friendly and made great drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting lakeside in the evening relaxing with drinks. All staff were friendly, very helpful and hard working. We truly appreciate their hard work, and it didn't go unnoticed. The beach was clean and so family friendly. We just enjoyed sitting in the chairs, which were in the water and observing the breathtaking views. We were walking distance to the wonderful Lake George village. Our room was comfortable, clean and great AC. The fire pits at night were a great addition. our stay was very relaxing and we had a great time.“

“I’ve been going to Monte Cristos for years and never leave disappointed. Friendly staff, great food, beautiful view! My only problem is I seldom stray from the Buffalo Burger, absolutely delicious! Highly recommended if you’re looking for some good eats while enjoying Lake George!“

“I ordered 2 chef salads for take out. I also ordered extra salad dressings. When I picked my order up the girl behind the counter was cheerful and so friendly. She showed me everything in the bag .I also received 2 salad dressings Extra and a fresh loaf of delicious bread . The salads were huge and absolutely the best we have had . Definitely will order again . Excellent.“

“Love this restaurant in Lake George!! My meal was delicious! Salmon with rice and broccoli, YUMMY! Our server was extremely attentive and pleasant and the prices were very reasonable. Love this local gem…and the owners are lovely as well :)“
“Went to our 1st Super Bowl Party at the Lakeside Lounge @ The Fort William Henry It was amazing ! The room was set up perfect the food was amazing ! Managers Marie & Renee took great care of us and our sever Taylor was doll the bartenders were Very accommodating! The outside view with a fire pit topped it all off had the best time. “ADK nachos were super good!! My husband got the steak and loved it. I did half a chicken with homemade bbq sauce, sweet potato fries and Mac n cheese. Chicken and fries were soooo good. I found the Mac n cheese to be bland but I think that’s the style if you were to pile on something bbq flavored then it would have been better. On its own it wasn’t my taste but everything else was very good. Can’t wait to go back next trip to Lake George!“

“You dine at the Boardwalk for the AMAZING views of the lake, as it's perfectly situated in the heart of the village to see the Lac du and Mohican pass by. The service is always super quick and friendly. As for the food, it's mostly fried bar food. Chicken tenders are frozen out of box and so are the fries. I am not sure why cooks today don't want to serve hand cut fries. Lazy? I like the fried fish, but I doubt it's fresh fish and likely frozen too. Let's just say its location and views of the lake are what keep this place in business. That's why I go there when I am visiting the area. You don't really go here for the food and the culinary experience. Regardless, I will keep going there on sunny afternoons for lunch to take in some fresh Adirondack air off the lake and great views.“

“Had the best blt ever. I appreciate how the have a live band upstairs and have a quieter bar downstairs. I like music but when I can't have a conversation with someone at dinner its bothersome. Kudos to them. Great menu. Will go back when we go back up“

“It has been tradition to stop here for breakfast at least once while traveling through and in the past 30 years we have never missed the opportunity to do so. Yes, it has changed but it will always be a staple in our adventures, even if we are just passing through.“

“Moose Tooth grill has a great family atmosphere. The food was good and typical of what you would expect from a restaraunt geared towards tourists downtown. 4 meals, a few mugs of Bear Wizz( locally brewed root beer) and a few pints later and we were out the door for about $100. Overall it was a good experience and we will return the next time we are in Lake George.“
