“I really like the remodel and one of the best spots on the lake. It's best to go by boat if possible since parking for cars is limited. We have only had wings and burgers plus ice cold beer and everything was great. The menu is full of classic American pub fare.“

“We got takeout. We ordered inside the restaurant (as opposed to calling.) Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Busy place at an odd hour - good for them! Many seemed to know the employees. We got two of the lunch sandwiches. They were tasty but a bit on the high priced side. They come with their own house made chips, which were tough as opposed to be light and crispy.“
“Let's start with the atmosphere. What I noticed first is that it is very clean. Decorations were sparse but pleasant. Plenty of room, the tables are not crowded together which is really nice. We heard an acoustic duo and the music wasn't too loud, the room had a nice sound for music. Service... I didn't get our waitresses name but she was super sweet. She did a great job and I think she may have been the only server on the floor. Food... Parts of the meal were great... others not so much and these parts could be fixed so quickly. The bad... the rolls and butter clearly store bought rolls and heated, request for more they were cold out of the package. The salad was beyond basic. I asked for blue cheese dressing, I believe maybe they ran out and it was basically sour cream with some crumbles in it. If this is the normal blue cheese dressing they need to change that. Again, so minor in the big picture but this is how the meal starts so it just sets the mood. Now to the main course... My friend ordered the Steak Marsala and I ordered the crab stuffed haddock. We thought she was going to get a steak... with a side of pasta it was slices of steak on a HUGE bed of pasta with a thick marsala sauce on the pasta. Tasty but should not be listed as a steak. This is a pasta dish with meat on top. The crab stuffed haddock was excellent. I had it with a side of mashed potatoes which were very nice and the veggie medley was tasty and still had some crisp to it, not mushy at all. I recommend this dish and would have it again. I would go back for sure.“
“Super cute highway diner ran by a family making classic diner fare. Prompt attentive service and smiles all around make this diner a must visit when passing along through the Adirondacks. Pricing is very affordable. Keep in mind it is cash only, but they have an atm on site if needed :)“
“I really liked it here! We were on a day trip motorcycling with a buddy, and we decided to stop in here for a bite and beer! Located across from what looks to be a camping area, and situated along the lake, we opted to sit outside anear the road. They had nice picnic tables with umbrellas set up. I am kind of picky when it comes to how clean the beer and glasses are and everything was crisp clean and refreshing drink wise. There is a small inside bar with a few tables to dine in as well.... The server was really friendly and the food was better than expected, honestly. I would definitely stop here again. Fair pricing.“
“Came in on a Thursday and it was a little loud but everyone was friendly so it felt like a party. Pizza and wings were solid and very reasonably priced. Staff was really busy but were on their game making sure everyone was looked after. I've been before and I'll be back. Great spot for a bite and beer.“
“An unexpected gem in the Great Sacandaga Lake area. I'd driven by a few times while visiting in the GSL area and finally got the time to stop by. Food was tasty and done to order. My wife and I had the opportunity to both dine in and take out from Klippel's recently, and both did not fail to please. Portions were generous and reasonably priced. There did seem to be a nice selection on the menu - so finding something that "hits the spot" shouldn't be hard to find. It does appear that there is a nicely stocked deli should you prefer that to "off the grill or oven". Dine-in ambiance I'd definitely characterize as "Adirondack rustic". Clean, but not fancy. I did appreciate the old-time tchotchkes that adorn the walls. (Which do tend to bring back memories of my childhood). The staff was friendly and courteous. Many local residents frequent here, but as a "tourist" I too was treated with a smile and friendly chatter.“
